PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

Precisely, the cost for Tesla of bad PR or legal issues is LESS than the cost or replacing the problematic PCS for everyone before warranties run out.....also known as.

Houston FSD accident on bridge lawsuit

Not saying they need to take a a full page in the NYT A simple post on X stating facts would clear up so much of this stuff, video doesn't look good but if there is a non-guilty Tesla explanation that would be great than people assuming it was FSD becoming Skynet.

Houston FSD accident on bridge lawsuit

I know Tesla does not like to advertise, does not do things like regular companies. But a small PR team is needed for things like this, video implies an issue, if it was that sucks, but if it was not it needs to be cleared up not just left for people to assume it was an FSD issue.

    Towing my boat 400 miles.

Would HIGHLY recommend planning the route out ahead of time. With that load plan on. 1. Getting about 100 miles per mostly full battery 2. Unhooking on the 4 charging stops 3. Being at each supercharger for 60-90mins

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

If you plug in for 30s you might get 500kw but if that only gives you 1% charge it doesn't matter. Average charging speed over the session is what matters, how long does it take to charge so you can get on your way. The average is about 123kw in ideal scenarios for a full charge, which is about...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

Which I am fine with, other than Tesla advertising 500kw charging. It is 123kw charging aka about 4x slower than advertised :) If they advertised standard slow charging at 100-150kw no problem, would have kept the ICE truck for towing. But advertising 500kw charging is the only issue, albeit a...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

Yea if they wanted to dial down my battery warranty by X number of miles every time I SUPERCHARGED to get on the road I would take it in a heartbeat. That would be a decent compromise.

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

500kw was the advertised new high speed charging rate from Tesla 123kw is the actual average you will get if you plug in at a low % and charge to a high % at a supercharger due to the charging curve being so bad So instead of that full charge when trailering taking you 23mins a (500kw) due to...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

That is the problem, it is NOT up to me. Tesla advertised 500kw charging but limits me to 123kw Let me choose weather my battery pack lasts 400,000 miles or if I want to utilize the 500kw charging so I don't have to sit at a charger for 90mins. But don't advertise 500kw charging when the...

🚀 My Cybertruck 100% FSD Fully Autonomous Coast to Coast Attempt — Atlantic City to Santa Monica (LIVE) - by browncowboy

Just watched your video letting someone drive your truck on FSD One of the better explanations of FSD I have heard and while my confidence level in the system is not as high as yours I think we are less than 3 years out from UFSD. A great watch

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

Exactly. If I am zipping along on a 4 hour trip with my wife and kids on a family trip I am not charging above 70% most of the time. But people saying never charge above 80% have never towed a sizeable load across any significant distance in the CT

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

If your not charging to 100% with a big trailer you ain't gonna make it to the next supercharger in a lot of places :) Driving the kids to Costco, sure low n slow charging makes sense to preserve the battery for 400,000 miles. But those of us using the CT as a work truck bought it based on...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

We were promised/teased 500kw charging, we get a tiny momentary spike to 500kw then the charge rate comes down. Takes 90mins for a full charge at a new 325kw super charger, if your towing a trailer and need to stop 4x to go 500miles your spending 6 hours charging your truck, not including...

8% phantom discharge in 24 hours while parked at home without sentry mode

The thud sound is it recognizing the bluetooth on your phone and waking up, you can confirm this by trying it at night, you will see the microwave door buttons light up white, depending on your lock settings it may only show on the drivers door. You can prevent this by turning Bluetooth off on...

8% phantom discharge in 24 hours while parked at home without sentry mode

Pretty standard for the CT, the phantom drain has gotten better with updates but it still uses more than most eco-lodges just sitting there, which is a problem for a "Green" vehicle. When gas was down to under$3 a gallon an equivalent ICE truck was cheaper due to not having those electrons...

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

Besides the donuts what was the cost and process for doing it? Doing a cross country road trip of about 6k miles for my business this summer and PCS going out along the route would likely bankrupt the venture.

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

Excellent reference to the toasty Macbooks. Based on Tesla's engineering team my $ would be on incorrect installs, we have seen it already with soap on accelerator pedals etc.

PCS failure rates by year...is it just a matter of time?

Yea that is the mystery a lot of early VIN people are dealing with. It seems like a very high % have had an issue and are the others just lucky and not going to have to deal with it, or just have not had it break yet.
