    Anti-EV idiocy

One of the questions was whether I thought batteries could operate the harvesters well enough with them using them for days straight only shutting down long enough to refuel and change operators. I honestly said no, but that may change in the future. They were surprised that heavy trucks were...

    Anti-EV idiocy

Surprisingly had the opposite happen in a farming town in Kansas recently. My wife's family had questions about electric cars and trucks so my wife had me answering them. I mentioned that they didn't have a charging station in their town yet and they were shocked because they knew about the...

    Anti-EV idiocy

Funny thing about concrete is while it is being made curing it first gives off a crap ton of CO2, then starts absorbing it. They had a problem with that during the earth ship experiments. That and the diurnal cycle of the plants.

That has been my impression of many dealership service centers.

My F-150 Lightning Story (with videos)

I'm saying what I said because a constant no-start is one of the easiest things to diagnose even on new everything runs through the computer first cars. Intermittent problems are far more difficult especially if the computer doesn't catch it.

My F-150 Lightning Story (with videos)

We had the same problem with our 2015, they wanted $500 just to tow it to the shop and $1500 just to diagnose. I did a little online research and found it might be the dealer installed security system so I bypassed it and viola it started. Edit to add: I am sorry but I really think the...

    Off Road Dreaming

Nope for the same reasons above. Though my wife and I will sometimes take a tortilla add ham cheese and mayo, roll it up like a burrito. We call it a torwich.

Ahh but an open faced taco isn't a taco either its a tostada. I don't believe so but I am not sure what it is called.

Tacos: Yeah Tacos they are not sandwiches while they are both very versatile as to what you put in them the basic difference is the taco uses a tortilla which is a flat and dense that can be easily folded in half. Sandwich bread doesn't handle being folded around the stuffing near as well...

    Off Road Dreaming

My wife and I were stalked by a pack not long ago but they never got closer than 1 ridge away. We could see them from time to time and we just worked our way back to the truck.

    Off Road Dreaming

Funny side note... I had a bolt action rifle that was classed as an assault rifle during the last assault weapon ban due to having a few specific features. (Bayonet lug, detachable magazine, barrel shroud) It only needed 3 features from a list.

    Off Road Dreaming

Each one of those including the city you live in now when you include the surrounding cities have over 100k people. My entire county has a population of 25k. Every trail I have hiked and off roaded on were also open range for cattle. I have seen far more people harmed by opiates than by...

    Off Road Dreaming

Crissa, not everyone live in a large city. Some of us live in very rural areas. I know people who have had to put down livestock, and as brutal and cruel as that might sound it was far better to do that than to let the animal suffer. Having a Vet come out and euthanize it with drugs is...

    Off Road Dreaming

Pretty similar in New Mexico, in addition you have to be something like 100ft away from the roadway as well. Its hard to tell how many are carrying when on the trail most are pro 2A but they are kept stored unless needed and New Mexico considers inside the vehicle to be an extension of the...

Case for the 800 mile Cybertruck

As I don't have an electric yet but am planning to any long trip I take I use a better route planner to test if the Cybertruck and now Aptera will do ok. Found out Kansas is a bad place for either depending on destination. New Mexico is pretty bad if you aren't traveling on the freeways. The...

Tesla and Ford Have Top Brand Loyalty

The way I buy cars screws with the way they measure brand loyalty. Even my brand new purchases. I tend to buy them and drive the wheels off... Then put the wheels back on... I'm good a putting the wheels back on. My wifes cars get replaced more often but we still tend to keep those 8+...

    Off Road Dreaming

On the trails we usually go on its ok to move rocks around to get through, but it is a listed off-road recreation area. Though it is considered bad form to leave them stacked up. The forest service has gotten rather hostile over the past couple of decades, but there are so few that even...

Random Battery News Plus huge IRA tax benefit for 4680 Production

I am looking at running for a spot on the coop, not sure if I will be able to fix anything, the coop has no money and had to file a lengthy law suit to be able to charge the customers for the penalties they racked up for not following the regulations. On the better news side it looks like the...
