The real reason the hacking group is mad at Elon is that their main assets are in bitcoin and stupid bitcoin traders are overreacting to Elon's tweets.
While I agree with the general assumption that until reservations are satisfied, Cybertrucks could become an appreciating asset. However I doubt the 250k/yr production figure in part because I have not seen that stated anywhere other than in this thread. Further if the supply chain issues...
I will take exception to the above statement. Currently boats are selling faster than manufacturers can make them. It seems the pandemic has inspired a lot of people to seek recreation on the water. Even used boats are selling for more than the asking price.
While true that the road vehicle...
At this point, I am not sure what to believe about production version CT rumor & speculation.
Personally, I think:
Solar will be an option but not offered for at least a year.
Only a few deliveries this year and those will be to Tesla employees. I think some of us will be waiting at least...
While I think a cyberSUV could be a popular add to the Tesla lineup in the future, I believe in the near term it is much more important for Tesla to satisfy the long list of Cybertruck reservations first.
Personally my model S satisfies almost all my current hauling needs, so my CT reservation...
Until we know if the global chip shortage will still affect Tesla in Q3 2022, and if there might be any other supply shortages (batteries?), it will be impossible to predict potential production numbers. Thus I consider the poll a waste of time at this time.
The idea of a crash/fire resistant box for the data recorder has merit.
If one bothers to read the actual info released about the car instead of the BS put forth by idiots, they would learn that the vehicle did NOT have FSD (owner did NOT purchase the option) and only basic driver assist...
I hope you do. There are probably many here that will be very interested to see images of an actual production CT in the hands of a reservation holder. (y)
The thing to be aware of is the Cyberlandr team is currently raising money via pre-orders to fund the development of their manufacturing plant. All they really have at this point is an idea, concept video, and a proof of general concept very rough prototype.
While I think the concept is...
I agree with @Cyberman and I think his post was overdue.
Waiting for something we really want is hard, and the longer we wait, the more frustrated we can get. While I think I am more patient than some (at least I believe so), the looooonnng wait to finalize our orders, or receive any official...
Personally, I think almost all new or refreshed Tesla vehicles are delayed due to battery cell constraints. Only when the battery cell manufacturing facilities at Gigas Texas & Shanghai are ramped up, along with Panasonic at Giga Nevada figuring out how to make 4680s at scale, will we start to...
Elon has suggested an update on CT will be released this quarter. When do you think that will happen?
Knowing "Elon time", my guess is late June 2021 or later.
BS speculation and rumors always get wildly blown out of proportion and are frequently false.
Only when Tesla releases full specs of the production CT versions will we have real facts to discuss. Until then we only have speculation and BS.
You apparently missed the fact the data was from 30 minutes before the crash up to and including the crash event.
The following image from Electrek.co
The third column is speed in km/h; 5th column is brake pressure in bar.
As can be seen in the data, the brakes were NOT applied until about 4...
There are those who think the Cybertruck is a "weird design" or ugly. Fortunately for Tesla there are also those of us who like the design enough to reserve one.
Hopefully the production design of the CT will be close enough to the prototype that we won't want to cancel our reservations.
As battery cell manufacturing will be part of Giga Texas, it is most likely that all CTs will be powered by 4680 cells. The main difference in the battery packs of the 3 variants will be the number of cells per pack.
