It looks really big here. I’m on the list, but have never seen the need for anything bigger than a Tacoma. It’s going to be obnoxious, in a good way ?
All dual motor none performance Y’s and 3’s in the US seem to have this option.
I got it on our 3 and it’s very noticeable, even a year+ later. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.
Of course there will be. Everyone want’s everything. Big cab, big bed, big battery, big tires… Oh, but it needs to fit in my garage and be able to carry a full size spare without taking up any space. The complaints after the announcement will be rampant.
The disbelievers won’t be able to use...
I don’t carry the spare most of the time. It mainly for off-roading. If I ever do get a flat in town I’ll just have a buddy bring it to me. I’ve been driving on BFG’s for 40 years and never had a flat. I got flats on my work van all the time.
I’ll be very surprised if they can sell these at volume. Ford is struggling selling the Lightning at current prices and I’m not sure either are going to fly as a entry level work truck.
Of course, but when you start putting huge tires on a truck it requires comprising. The new chevy ev has smaller tires than my taco, and they can’t even fit a full size spare under it. It’s a lot bigger than my taco.
Super simple. I use them all the time with my riding mower because we have 3” thorns in places. I’ve never used one on my BFG’s but I have on our old model 3.
I want it so I have a proper battery backup. With or without vtg 220 would be nice. I don’t always have access to power where I need it on the property.
My spare is screwed to my bed. It’s to big to fit in the factory spot underneath. It works, but I have to take it out a lot. I only really care about having it with me when I’m off-roading.
