No. The money (or the loan) has to be there, and you have to accept delivery in the app before the door will unlock. I think if I insisted they would have let me drive it or maybe driven me around the parking lot, but that is about it.
Fit and finish is really good. It is a solid, well-built car. I do have one tiny nit: the charge port door catches on something as it opens so you hear a little pop each time. But that is it!
I was also checking the app daily. I did not get notified of the VIN, but it showed up in the app Friday night. Sunday morning the service center called to tell me they had my truck. That must mean that the VIN is published after the truck passes quality checks.
Wheel covers and the screen for the sunshade. I also did not get the charger and power station as those will come through a different party that Tesla is connecting me with for the install.

The truck is amazing.
I have been in more photos and videos today than the rest of my life combined.
Five members of my family have already driven the truck. Super fun day!
Pickup process was good. Tesla rep knew a lot and spent as much time as we needed, scheduled follow up...

I wonder if this has to do with the shortage. I am picking up my Cybertruck on Friday and they already let me know they have a shortage of wheel covers, so they will do a remote service call sometime after delivery when they get them in.
