Headed to Plano, TX this afternoon to pick up my CT. I joined this forum looking for any information I could, trying to figure out when I might see my 4+ year wait come to an end. That day is today for me, and I hope it will will rapidly come for everyone else here. If you want to know something specific that no else has answered for you yet, I am happy to help.

UPDATES!

The truck is amazing.
I have been in more photos and videos today than the rest of my life combined.
Five members of my family have already driven the truck. Super fun day!

Pickup process was good. Tesla rep knew a lot and spent as much time as we needed, scheduled follow up services (missing items), called us a few hours after pickup and gave us her number to text anytime.
One other person picked up their CT today, the Plano service center does not have any others or know when the next one is coming, so just two for now.

Regarding wraps and such, I bought a truck, I intend to use it as a truck. one of the best features to me is the HFS outer shell that I can abuse, so no plans to wrap or customize the outside.
I have not weighed the tire\rim yet and have not tried sentry mode as my SSD is not here yet. I will post those updates later.

The sound system. The sound system.

Wow congrats on your truck, would love you to share some wh/mile info as you put some miles on it along with what you decide to do as far as a wrap, ppf, etc.
Of course a picture is required!

Congrats! Would love to know how the pickup process goes and if you see any other CTs there for delivery. I placed my FS AWD order on 12/9 to be picked up in Plano and don't even have a VIN yet. :/

Has anyone else had any Texas deliveries. The only ones that I've heard about is California and a Californian who moved to Florida.
Or for that matter, from any other state.

congrats!

as for burning questionsā€¦

embarrassed to say it, but:

Would love to know the weight of one tire+wheel

understanding thereā€™s no way anyone is likely to go through the trouble of this (removing a tire+wheel and weighting it), the rationale if helpful:

first, thereā€™s a curiosity around the relative efficiency of the CT compared to eg the Lightning, which seems to possibly in part come down to tire/wheel differences

second and more importantly, itā€™s theoretically possible that a similarly sized but materially lighter wheel+tire combo would meaningfully increase CT range - but to survey this possibility requires knowing how heavy the premium wheel+Goodyear AT tire combo is in the first place, to know what weā€™re comparing to

again, not really expecting you to jump this but at some point will be good for someone to

T-Sportline says the rim, tire and cover weigh 97 lbs. https://tsportline.com/blogs/tesla-aftermarket-support/the-tesla-cybertruck-wheel-guide I will find out if that is true!

thatā€™s ā€¦ interesting, thanks

Interesting because the Ownerā€™s manual suggests that the AT is 35lb more than the AS

however, the ownerā€™s manual doesnā€™t specify if it is also including/assuming that the AT tire is on the premium wheel vs the base wheel, etc.

At 35lb delta, I strongly assume that is not merely the weight of the rubber/tire difference between identically sized AT be AS tires. The AT has more rubber, yes, but 35lbs worth?

So my strong assumption is that the AT+premium wheel is 35lbs heavier than the AS+base wheel, in this ownerā€™s manual chart:

Tesla Cybertruck Picked up my Amazing Cybertruck today! (Plano Texas) -- added delivery photos & owner's impressions! 1705683583176

If the T-sportline report is correct, and the AT+premium wheel on the FS is indeed 97lbs (sounds about as expected), it would mean the AS+base wheel is 35lb lighter or 62lbs - which is pretty light!

The Tesla materials say thereā€™s about a 3.5% increase in range (at EPA combined conditions) between the AS vs AT configuration - which again would appear to assume the AS comes on the base wheel and the AT comes on the premium wheel.

Sort of fortuitous for calculations if the 35lb wheel+tire weight reduction results in a 3.5% increase in rage (at EPA combined conditions).

But if in fact, per the owners manual, the AS+base wheel is 62lbs, thatā€™s pretty damn light for a 35ā€x11.5ā€ wheel/tire combo - may be hard to materially beat that in any aftermarket wheel offering.

I leave my car parked at the airport for a few days at a time. My Model Y burns 6-7% of its battery in sentry mode for each 24 hours. It would be awesome if you could test your sentry mode overnight or even a full 24 hour period and see how much of the battery is used.

Wheel covers and the screen for the sunshade. I also did not get the charger and power station as those will come through a different party that Tesla is connecting me with for the install.

@Axwbw You give me hope and frustration at the same time lol. I was telling my wife about you last night - your reservation number was close to mine, same build, same order dates, and Iā€™m in Dallas (should be Plano pickup).

Question - how did you get notified of VIN, and how long ago? Iā€™ve been checking my app, email, voicemails every day for weeks; where am I likely to see it first? And how long between VIN and delivery?

Thanks and Congrats!
