Elon mentioned that the side mirrors (required from manufacturer) would likely be easily removable on the CT. Is there any collection of what the local laws are in terms of requiring side view mirrors? I think that would be useful.
I went digging through an old thread on cameras vs mirrors...
As has been mentioned several times in the Club, the force of drag on the object varies by the square of the speed. So, with a little more scratching on the back of the napkin, there is roughly twice the drag when traveling at 70 versus 50.
It's all a matter of perspective...
On the other hand, it would be interesting to see the results of towing a trailer twice that size on the same route with the same truck. From all I've heard about the major drag is in moving the air around the trailer, I'm wondering how much the additional...
That's an interesting list. However, if powered tonneau cover wasnt' standard, I would be VERY disappointed.
On the other hand, I'd love a solid towing package!
I agree with this. The ability to drive to work (University) and send the vehicle off to free off-campus parking for the day can be a real benefit. Or when you're going out to a special night in "old town" where there's no parking and sending the vehicle off to park until needed seems like a...
All kinds of aircraft are "fly by wire" and don't suffer huge ill affects to whatever solar storms are occurring. Even the massive coronal ejections like the one on 17 April 2022 caused massive ionization of the upper atmosphere but didn't affect the flight electronics of aircraft in the lower...
I've seen the images people have posted speculating on the airflow around their guess at CT specs. Has anyone come up with a guess at the coefficient of drag on any of those models?
Maybe someone has already noted... but the child-sized mannequin was not "crossing" the street. It was a short s
To me, the whole issue pivots around the end of this video and the discussion of O'Dowd's likely motivation for this video... and it nauseates me. Build a better product yourself...
