There is ONE more vehicle, they are very likely going to manufacture, it was shown on "Autonomy" day, on the Los Angeles movie lot... The 10-12 passenger van.. They have 2 uses for them:
1) The boring company needs a larger vehicle for the Las Vegas tunnels, when their is a trade show...
20M cars to whom? If they build 10M RoboTaxis, they are the customer themselves, and then add in the ones that Uber, Lift, Waymo and other ridesharing services may end up with. Plus they are still selling the Model 3 and Model Y, and they continue improving them. They basiclly told the...
Tesla's willingness to mothball the Model S & Model X shows, they are thinking correctly, and not keeping a production line going for a low-volume vehicle, even if it was their first production vehicle (Model S, it was my first Tesla a 2013 Model S, came with ALL of the "Early Adopter" issues)...
The future of "FSD" is "Autonomous FSD", what Elon actually promised in 2016, this gives drivers back their TIME, TIME is difficult to put a price on, because, it is PRICELESS and you can't make more of it, it is a limited resource.
Autonmous FSD will be going UP in price on the subscription...
Yes, I have been eying a low cost plow, to clear my driveway.. This one seems promising, and uses a 2" receiver, so an adapter to a single centered receiver is all that would be needed.. I am not trying to plow commercially, just my 130' driveway. It will already work on the rear hitch, but I...
I owned a VERY early VIN Model S (under 4,000) that was built in December of 2012, took delivery on January 17th, 2013. I had every early adopter issue, known, and then some. I understand how you feel.
I lost count of my service center visits, but it was north of 50, from every door handle...
in real estate, the concept of “Highest and best use” exists.
Meaning, within a short time, they will be manufacturing the Optimus robot. they intend to produce millions of them.. The space occupied by the low volume Cybertruck production line could be put to better use, or they will have to...
I love my 2025 AWD CyberTruck, but I am not convinced they will keep manufacturing them, in low volume. They will perhaps re-design it, and re-release an improved version, maybe.
But, and here is the big one. When the Optimus is ready to be manufactured, they will absolutley consider all...
New Flash: Tesla has a LONG history of charging $$$$ to repair/replace a faulty design/part
Example: I owned a 2013 Model S, VIN under 4,000 (yes, one of the first Model S's ever manufactured), it's what I traded in for the 2025 Dual Motor Cybertruck.
in my 12 years of ownership, I have lost...
Here is another choice in rear plows (or a front plow, if a reasonably priced front mount 2" receiver comes out, not interested in spending $3500). This one is $900, new.. and it folds in 1/2 for storage, its 78" wide.. you could spend twice as much and get one that is 84" wide :-)...
Yes, probably: "we are shutting down the Cybertruck production line, to make room for Cybercab production and refocus our energy". They could discontinue the Cybertruck, and admit it was a dismal failure, and they are moving on. Other companies have done similar, why not Tesla.
If the Cybertruck was an "ongoing product", they would be re-designing this critical component, not replacing them with the same thing, that keeps failing. Tesla communicates their intentions in multiple ways, not good.
I like that inexpensive hose holder, if you have it shipped to Tractor Supply, there's no shipping cost either.. going to get one for my garage.
P.S. one of the reviews shows it in use holding a Tesla Mobile Connector , plugged into a Cybertruck :)...
Leo, do you have a link for those camera mounts, and can you show the detail of how you mounted the phone mount to the Cybertruck dashboard.. did you screw it in, use epoxy, double sided tape.. etc
