I agree with you! I am in the medical field, a dentist. I felt far more professional when I wore khakis a nice pressed white shirt and a tie. Hygienically scrubs make more sense. Covid was the death of all that. I’ll still feel a bit like a slob crawling out of bed, so to speak walking into the...
Were I not 200% thrilled with my Beast I’d buy one of these in a heartbeat. A minimally optioned F-150 costs that much or more. Love the intentional analog, basic rugged ethos and the design strongly evokes Defenders which I love.
No matter how wonderful FSD currently is my car still has no perception of school zones and theIR 20 mph speed limits. Last week for the first time I was behind a school bus in our neighborhood. The first stop was fine, the truck paused and waited but at the second stop it tried to pass the...
Replaced the OEM on my Beast at 19,700. Had 4-5/32 left. Also went with the Michelin Platinums. I’m 1,700 miles into them now. Pleased. Road noise is negligible.
Until today when I picked up a loaner that was an all-wheel-drive, I did not realize that the Alcanterra was just for the beast. To be honest, I sort of like the texture vinyl better. Alcanterra has always struck me as something cheesy that social media influencers like for the sole purpose of...
I had a ride in an 8 year old Model X on Hw3 running an older version of FSD. Was incredibly better that my CT. WHY?
Truth to all of the above but not always. Also, when a far left lane on the highway is ending no matter how well it is noted with signs, etc the car has a 50/50 shot at...
I use it daily and love it but it is far from perfect. Crossing over the double yellow on a left turn for one is a big deficiency I'd like fixed. I have to assume that the robotaxi fleet is running something beyond 14.
100% the same. I have a built 06 Boxster with 390 hp. I've driven it less than 600 miles this year. I'm usually at 4000 miles by now. I do love the contrast though and now the Boxster feels almost analog and I still love the back roads with a six speed and a flat six.
What is giving me a flicker of hope is the announcement last week. Did you see that from Ford?
Essentially they're going to attempt an unboxed production line like Tesla is going to do. Also announced a $30,000 cheap pick up truck. Far better than any other big three. That said that's a pretty...
Jim Farley is being made to look like a fool in the MSM but of the Big 3 he's the best leader. A real car guy who sees thew future. The Chinese competition would devastate the US if not inhibited. Not a great long-term fix though. Ford may make it. Mary Barre of GM is no Elon Musk to say...
What a phenomenal thread all. Today I selected Michelin LTX Defender Platinums at Discount Tire. I went there to compare KO3’s and Defenders. A great sales associate helped me compare options. Platinums for the win. I found this thread AFTER the order was placed but it sounds like a hands...
I had an 8 year old Model X UBER on a way older FSD version a few weeks ago. It was so much more fluid and aggressive than 13.2.9 in my CT. And that is HW3. Shocking.
Same here. Today is the first time I’ve ever seen any mention of toggling the volume switch. I’ve been told to apply a “slight turning force” but that’s it. Maybe this is a carry over from prior Teslas.? This is my first Tesla. Either way it’s not so intrusive that I’d pay for a dodgy chip...
Who knows? Maybe you’re right? Yes, I have had that message, but it seems to correlate to when I have been not paying attention and looking elsewhere repeatedly. I have driven for extremely long periods of time without that message occurring provided. I am paying attention.
The cybertruck does not use a nag in the form of touching the steering wheel. It uses facial monitoring and where you were actually looking. I would not expect this device to work on our trucks at all.
