FSD is not yet enabled on the CT at this time. so this is not really on topic.
Also kind of strange that on a Tesla vehicle forum, you do not list any Tesla vehicles under your profile.
This could be viewed as FUD by some.....
Many folks have done this.
If you wait and dont go with FSD, AT wheels/tires, and dont care about powershare, the white interior trim, or the others extras, then you of could end up saving a good chunk of change.
If you wait and then buy most of the above items as options anyway, you're not...
I don't believe this is possible unless you specified them as a secondary registrant in reg details in the app. I do believe there is in person signing and ID check on delivery day.
VIN assignment means it's likely enroute from the factory or about to be in the next 24-48 hours. VIN 7800 means this is probably the case(and not already at the delivery center) as it's recent in terms of latest production numbers.
VIN to delivery is typically 14 days, +/- 2 days. Hopefully...
My truck is enroute from the factory as of today. I suspect parts to fix accelerators are also enroute to delivery centers all over.
I expect any delayed deliveries to be sorted by next Wed or Thurs.
This hold was a non issue as expected.
Check https://www.cybertruck.vin/ . Select your state and see what order dates have VINs. If folks in your state are not getting VINs for Dec or early Jan orders, you may be waiting a few more weeks.
Give it a few days. :)
VINS are a great sign that the fix is simple. No one is pre-paying simply from getting a VIN, or at least they shouldn't, until they have a delivery date.
We shall see. This will be water under the bridge in a few days i bet.
VINs being assigned at a decent rate the past couple days. I saw in another thread someone had a rescheduled delivery date of 4/20. This hold has turned out to be a non issue.
Anyone complaining about this is nuts, and are likely the same folks who would throw a fit and "talk to the manager"...
