Seems to me that the best way to measure drag is to measure the current draw in the inverter at different speeds. Rolling resistance would need to be subtracted.
It is contrary to most corporate rules to have that much inventory unless there is a reason.
1. They may be using one casting machine for both front and rear castings so they do each in large batches in between tool changes.
2. Castings may need to age. Yes, aluminum can be age hardened.
OBD codes don't always imply a direct corrective action. A bad O2 sensor could send a code pointing you to replace the MAP sensor or perhaps the O2 sensor is fine but you have a slight leak in a vacuum hose.
If there is any criticism of Mechanics is that they will eventually replace the MAP...
It has been in the news for some time. Like all battery announcements "promise" is generally tempered by cost or manufacturability realities but since this is aimed at energy density and safety for aviation purposes cost may not be an issue.
Yes, I live in Mesa AZ and can assure you that the highly tinted windows on my MY still allow lots of heat. Whenever my wife and I go out we try to park in what we jokingly call "Arizona shade" which is typically a small desert tree with tiny leaves that maybe will shade a small part of the...
I had looked into tungsten carbide coatings for a 304 SS cam application. It was a plasma spray and expensive. Maybe a sputtered coating? Perhaps Elon is just joking.
This is one (only?) view of the rear wheel that shows the hydraulic line and an adjacent component that seems to be a cover for the brake piston? Generally the caliper is a casting and the cylinder is machined/honed from the opening. The hydraulic connection and bleed holes are...
The interior design with the strip LED lighting and rear seat display is similar to the highland (M3) updates. The release of the highland and CT probably needed to be coordinated to be close together due to similarities.
Since the BAW is about a meter long the required torque would be NM (newton meters) a newton is about the force of the weight of an apple (newton=apple=easy to remember). So guess how many newtons at the tip of the blade the BAW requires? 4N? 10N? Since work has time included and the internet...
