I talked to a guy with a Cybertruck at a Supercharger the other day and I asked how he liked it. He said it was awesome, but was surprised at how often he was getting double “fingered” while driving it. He asked me if I experienced this (I have a 2015 Model S), and I said in the early days I...
No one knows what woke means since the term has been corrupted from its original intent. When I first came across the term it had connotations of awareness and respect. Now it is used to denigrate others in an uneducated, disrespectful way … funny in a sad way.
Tire wear depends on how you drive and what you buy. My Dodge 2500 diesel is the same weight as Cybertruck, but since I don’t abuse the power, my tires last.
Is this a solution in search of a problem? Headlights icing over does happen .. but it is so infrequent that just getting out and manually removing the ice is the simplest solution IMHO.
The $40,000 version only had 200 miles of range or so if memory serves .. it was just the top spec that Tesla thought would have 500. Either way your point is valid .. prices went up for all and specs down for the top end range. I’m hesitant myself as I want a minimum of 400 miles.
Studs are a night and day difference on ice. If your winter conditions have ice regularly you will love studs. They are a bit noisy at low speeds .. like driving on gravel .. faster speeds are no issue
Dude .. we are all anonymous here. People with winter experience know headlights can ice under certain conditions.. nothing controversial about what I posted.
Yes … adding a middleman who needs to be paid reduces cost ?. Just think it through man. No one can operate a business and take a loss .. they make money on you. Your example is an exception.. ot the rule. If you feel better about paying more to reduce the risk of a potential loss .. go...
Surveys show 75% of truck buyers never, ever tow. Of the 25% who do tow, 1/2 tow less than 100 miles .. ever. Also, most buyers don’t go off road, and most barely use the box. In this context, trucks are basically SUVs. I suspect many buyers are holding back for Cybertruck to be eligible for...
Agree .. my Dodge truck is far, far, from perfect. I sold a BMW and the buyer pointed out panel gaps wondering if it in a collision (no) .. all makes are like this. I think Tesla had worse issues in the past though .. seems good now.
I have a plow on my Dodge. It uses this type of bracket attached to the frame. I’m assuming the attachment points on CT used are on the frame .. so should be fine. I’m pretty sure Tesla said plows would be fine .. but afaik no formal communication on this point lately.
Range drops at the same proportion as any other BEV .. about 20% when driving fast. I don’t see a problem at all. This generation BEV truck is not suited for towing heavy loads long distances for sure. This isn’t an issue since 75% of truck buyers never, ever tow .. and of the 25% who do tow...
Why not figure out your needs, wants, and values in a vehicle? There is a ton of FUD out there and anti-ev/anti-Tesla types are clearly afraid of it. Tesla is a good company and they have created something special here. CT’s epa range is accurate, and like all EVs if you drive faster than the...
