Hmm .. you seem to have left out information. EVs shine in cost of ownership as well as performance. Run the math again with fuel savings, maintenance savings, and 3 X longer lifespan included .. and the EV comes out on top by an incredible margin. The dual motor and tri motor also btw.
My business focuses on Return on Investment (ROI). My recommendation to people is to think like a utility company .. meaning long-term. Your array will generate for 30+ years and there is a good chance that you will be using more electricity in the future because of EVs and the electrification...
It would probably cost about $1,500 - $2,000 to remove your system from your roof .. and then the cost of putting up a field array. It would likley make more sense, given how cheap everything is now-a-days, to simply add a new field array to complement what you have. Need more info really to...
I’ve owned trucks all my life ... from chey to ford to Toyota to Dodge. Cybertruck is so far ahead of all of these that it was a no-brainer to order the tri-motor.
I have the ability to charge at 80 amps .. about 60 miles and hour .. and never, ever, use it at that power level. 30-40 is fine and I drive 50,000 km a year.
Time will tell. If true .. the price will go up dramatically or Tesla will not sell to the general public until its own robo-fleet is in place. The reservation does not guarantee anything really.
I have an 100 amp circuit with an 80 amp breaker for my wall connector. I never use it at full capacity and instead charge at 40 amps. 30 amps would be plenty .. and I drive 50,000 km / yr.
I’d also suggest you look at solar again. You should be able to get an install for $2/watt .. that...
For me .. futuristic is a bonus. I own a 2003 Dodge 2500 and it hasn’t materially changed in looks for 20 years! Ready for and wanting a change!! Bring on the lasers :)
Cybertruck will not have 300,000 lbs towing as that would be impossible ... it will move that .. just not be legal to tow that much ... more likely to be rated in line with an F150.
Price for a longer range version will likely be 100,000 or so ... but I’m not worried since these cars last 2-3...
Just a Tesla for me. I want a bigger box vs the R1T (assuming the Tesla will have this), plus I want access to the Supercharger Network and self-driving package. ... love my current Tesla .. so easy choice.
