You are describing speed sensitive steering... And yes that exists with mechanical linkage. But those systems do not change the steering ratio , I think.
Mercedes had a mechanical "variable" system that has slower gearing at the center and quicker the further the wheel went off center. Not a...
Yes strangely that link now leads to another page....
Here is a link to the story.

NHTSA issued a final rule awhile ago that cleared the way for cars without steering wheels. Those cars by definition have to be steer by wire.

Does anyone that owns a Tesla know this answer?
I rented a model 3 on turo and the house I was staying at was kinda dark and I was using the level 1 charger. I had to use my phone light to see the charger port to plug it in. Was it just a setting on the rental or does the charge port not light...
This is true. He also said it would be smaller than said it would stay the same size mostly.... I don't think that tweets carry the same weight as official statements made at a presentation. I also don't think Tesla will be looking to maximize revenue for the cybertruck since they appear to have...
Strunks seems wrong though. Sail pillars makes it Spunks.
E.G. "can you get the right handed spanner out of the driver's side strunk"? V.s. can you get the rh spanner outta the driver's side spunk?
Active damping is not the same thing as dynamic suspension. I defined active damping as increasing the pressure above the piston as pressure is increased below to maintain suspension travel as a heavier load is carried. That is different than dynamic suspension which changes in response to road...
Yes I am. If you want to create a wheel with lower rolling resistance go towards a design where the shape doesn't deform. However you are trading traction. And on an un smooth surface the smallest rock will reduce contact to the size of the rock which will be horrible.
Airless tires will...
My understanding of how a tire works is that the hub weight is suspended from the portions of the tire currently not in contact. This means that a tire is an oval and it isn't only friction that causes rolling resistance but the oval shape, therefore a wheel like a steel wheel which maintains...
In Vermont no mirrors are required unless you are towing. They also do not require clothing in public, however taking off clothes in public is illegal.
I don't think a rear view mirror is a requirement by law anywhere in the United States. In many/most? states only the driver's side mirror is required by law.
