The poll has been extremely useful in gauging the populace of this forum.
No reality will change the koolaid. Not even Tesla itself backtracking.
No one should have clicked the No option, because, it's an option. And all it did was show the character of people voting, to be of the type of...
Well you cannot do it. But there are times when it would be useful imo. Doing multiple full lock back forth k turn maneuvers on a narrow road for example.
While the entire motion certainly is greatly eased with the limited drive-by-wire system, I’m still lazy enough that its still far enough at...
Ive had other cars with buttons on the wheel. And while the squircle is better than the yoke, it's still not as good as a wheel.
And yes, I love the quick turn of steer by wire and that helps, but it doesn't mean it's better than a standard circle or a flat bottom circle wheel. And it’s wrong...
Well they didnt flip back because losing the stalk was met with majority much less universal delight. No doubt some people prefer it, and I totally believe you do.
Personally, I do not. And I think the up down buttons with no physical differentiation are a particularly bad implementation. i'd...
Not really an issue on the tesla as guest drivers would get a default and each driver can have their preference set up. No different than you changing the option on the left scroll wheel IMO.
Again, it's not a problem to use it. It's a preference to have another option.
It's a very strange thing. There are many things I do NOT prefer. I don't like green cars for example, but I would never say, not only should cars not be green, but no one should have the option to get a green car...
I will check this out. But that sounds like it must be actuated by the left scroller, and you cannot assign it to the right scroller, which currently does nothing if you're not in FSD? Am I understanding that correctly?
Regardless, it's very nice to have that option and thank you so much for...
That's great news (for me)! Thank you!
How does that work? For me when I toggle the right scroller left or right, nothing happens! Is there a setting somewhere to actuate the right scroller left/right toggle to do that?
Agree, but all those switches on bikes etc are not hard to feel buttons but have pretty significant haptic swoopy slopes etc to rest your finger into etc.
Again, a lot of people defended the Yoke and the lack of stalk on the model Y. Tesla literally back tracked on both, so them changing this...
The line is tough to feel out and takes more concentration to figure out where I am. That's why i like mashing my palm down to get the left turn signal with no feeling out or ambiguity as to where I am. For the right turn, I then do have to hunt for that button. Where as on the toggle, my finger...
Humans are very adaptable. And I also love the truck. It's tough imagining getting anything other than another cybertruck. But that doesn't mean things cannot improve. MANY people said the same thing about the yoke and defended it greatly. But it turned out more people liked a wheel. Same with...
Thanks for the note, I'm aware of that. Here are notes on the new controls BTW and no non FSD mode changes are noted:
https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2025.38.3.1/release-notes#:~:text=New Scroll Wheel Functions,-Available Worldwide&text=Your left scroll wheel includes,wheel...
Not sure where you saw that implication. Some controls are just better and some worse. You can get used to worse controls, but that doesn't make them good. Also, obviously, what is better for some, will be worse for others. To each their own and all that.
But with my hands, the buttons simply...
So after driving the truck, which I love, the controls on the steering wheel are just not thoughtful.
Turn signals should be on a turning stalk, full stop. Just like Elon was wrong on the Yoke, he's wrong on the stalk.
But, even if you want to put them on the wheel you need to place them in a...
Had a couple of faults in the first 1000 miles. A rear caliper had to be replaced. I got degraded braking errors, and one car may not start error that I think was related, but was scary.
If you happen to live next to a service center, OMG, the best service EVER. When I text in the app i get...
Once you realize there is NO intelligence in AI (hint: actual intelligence takes LOW VOLUME and HIGH QUALITY input to learn from, current systems require HIGH VOLUME and use LOW QUALITY (eg reddit) input), and how current systems work (they are glorified weighted plinko template fitting morph...
Them for sure, as well.
But harvard grads master this talking style, what I call 'undeserved confidence'.
Where they are 100% absent any actual experience regarding a topic, ie ignorant, wrong, yet arrogant about their delivery in discussing, to such a point, that even when you know the...
So I've been learning per this video that as of around 2017, the side windows in cars are no longer tempered so the spring pin glass breakers will likely not work on newer cars that use laminated glass instead (at the :58marker):
So, what I wonder is, what is the best tool to escape from a...
