lol no way this is milled or laser cut, that would cost money!
These are cast, you can see some of the flashing on the images of the bracket up close. Cheapest way of making these parts.
I'm gonna wait until this is redesigned to v3 or they drop the price significantly to make up for the fact...
I had this issue, they changed the hvac wave guides and it fixed it.
I used to get the rattle real bad on rough or dirt roads.
I sat with the tech in the truck and tapped the dash and drove over some road reflectors and was able to replicate the sound for them.
Been looking at some speaker replacements and these are the top contender so far, higher sensitivity should also help with a little volume as well. I believe the OEM speakers are 89db
Will there be a way to make it so that the Autopilot mode will be a solid color instead of the rainbow effect? I do not want my dashboard lighting up in a bunch of different colors all the time, I use FSD a lot.
That's exactly what I'm looking for as well. I also want it to be flat so I can wrap it in the gray alcantara to match. I guess I have to try my hand at some 3D design...
Has anyone figured a way to retrofit a magsafe charger into the current wireless charger location? I know we can't remove the actual charger itself because of the key sensor, but overlaying it would be fine too.
This would be awesome to try out in my Cybertruck — love the bigger screen and split view, and I’d be happy to share pics and feedback once it’s installed!
I currently have v1 of the swivel screen. When I'm driving with FSD since I don't have my foot on the pedals, my knee hits the bottom left corner of the screen since it's lower about 2 inches and part of the screen gets blocked by the steering wheel.
I'm almost at 12K miles and only down 4 miles from when new at 100%
I had 4 months free supercharging, so most of my charging was done that way for the first 4 months of the truck's life.
If that's the case, then it completely discredits any of those split second "FSD SAVED MY LIFE!" folks.
I'm kind of curious to know how it would handle this type of scenario with a pedestrian there.
Granted, I believe FSD is a lot more careful with pedestrians than it is with stop signs, but...
I've noticed FSD (on both my HW3 S and HW4 CT) doesn't handle stops well if they're immediately after a turn. Going into my neighborhood was always a gamble on HW3 with wether it would stop for the intersection. HW4 stops more reliably, but not 100% of the time.
