The rest of your post had no bearing on the obvious threat Elon made. His motivation is irrelevant, he threatened to stop AI and robotics development at Tesla if he didn't get what he wants. That's a threat. If you don't understand that at this point there is nothing I can say to explain it...
You think it's impossible to know if he knows his brother? Just because you know the truth doesn't change the fact that someone lied to you. It's fine if you want to say you knew the truth and didn't care about the lies but you should understand that just maybe not everyone is going to be OK...
Which if he didn't get he threatened to no longer work on AI and robotics at Tesla.
"Unless that is the case, I would prefer to build products outside of Tesla,"
That's an obvious threat to stop building those products inside Tesla. Remember when Elon said "You don’t have to read between the...
Maybe we can try and not turn everything into a political debate?
On topic, as a test I just keyed my SS barbecue grill and a piece of SS boat railing, the cheap grill SS was slightly scratched and the boat railing was not. I'm thinking the CT will be closer to the boat railing in quality.
Looks as if Elon will be proposing a vote to incorporate in Texas. I assume it will pass, no idea of any ramifications of the switch if any, other than the perception of more lax regulations.
You must be joking.
I'm not a fan of the "new" Elon who is obviously not committed to Tesla and the mission of the company and who has actively damaged the company in recent years with the entire Twitter mess.
Yet he did in fact threaten to take AI and robotics away from Tesla and start another company if he doesn't get his extra shares and more control. This is really simple. Not to mention I didn't say he was doing it for the money so that's a complete straw man. Some people seem very unwilling...
If the mud fits...It's obvious to many that we are past "peak Elon". His latest threat to start another company for AI and robotics, taking that value away from Tesla, is not going to be seen in a positive light by most rational investors.
Do you work hard to misunderstand things? What do you think Elon means when he says he's uncomfortable growing AI and robotics at Tesla? Do you read that as if he doesn't get more control he'll just continue to do exactly what he's doing now? Because that's a very odd read.
Also, regarding...
Translation: If I don't get more control I'm threatening to stop developing AI and robotics at Tesla.
Yes, that's a threat, and yes I'm being very reasonable.
Honestly don't remember the details at this point but at the time I was not convinced by his conclusions and believe he misinterpreted Twitter's claims. There was ongoing debate as to how Twitter measured users and bots.
At this point I think we need a more level headed CEO strictly devoted to Tesla and who won't threaten to take his toys and runaway like a child. The other Tesla engineers we've seen seem competent and less rash than Elon so one of them, or bring back JB.
I've read Barrat's "Our Final Invention" and agree with much of his premise, as well as Bostrom and others.
As I've said I don't think Elon needs more control over Tesla.
