That's the thing, Elon won't be able to stop or control AI in general, only influence one company. Therefore I don't think he needs to be given any more power over Tesla.
Elon has given us enough evidence that he's far from a consistently rational actor that I do not trust him with controlling or guiding AI.

I forgot the uptick rule stays in effect the next day as well so it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.
"The rule's "duration of price test restriction" applies the rule for the remainder of the trading day and the following day."
If it's just more Elon speculation about when it might be available that won't help anything. His record of timeline prediction is pretty poor. This stock is going to need some solid performance numbers to really start moving up significantly. Maybe another Optimus demo but doing something...
I don't see any potential for significant good news until Q1 numbers come out, which is normally the worst Q in a year, so I'm just hoping we find a bottom soon. Since it went below -10% today even with the uptick rule in effect I expect to see more downward pressure tomorrow unfortunately.
One of the main reasons I want a SS CT instead of an aluminum Ford or Rivian is because it's much harder to dent and ding it. Also it's one thing if I dent or scratch it myself but I expect a smooth finish from the factory when new, as do most people.
My understanding of the CT finish is they start with 120 grit sandpaper on a DA sander and work up to 320 or so, I'd bet a similar process would remove most if not all of those scratches.
Maybe have them put a small test piece over it to see if it shows. If it does maybe they can sand it down a bit so it doesn't. It'd be interesting to see how deep a scratch can be sanded/buffed out for people who don't want to do a wrap.
