Not a bad rate these days. It is a luxury vehicle don't let people give you a hard time about $1,700/mo if you can afford it doesn't matter how big the number looks to them it matters if it looks big to you. Your money, enjoy it, hope you get one of the problem free ones.
Yea but will Chevy make any of them?
It is a far superior work truck for the money, but I believe they will be selling them at a loss.
They look ugly compared to the CT, the CT has 400x more cool factor. But the Silverado is without question 2x the work truck, easily measurable, 2x the truck...
I wish I knew, Tesla has given basically no information. Could be a vendor supplied part or part of assembly process. Tesla needs to get these trucks shipped out but can't afford to have a high percentage go out with these problems.
Sorry that my son's truck breaking after less than a thousand miles is doom and gloom. No one was hurt so not the end of the world but by far an isolated incident. As a Tesla owner and stockholder I know the company is capable of better.
Been a long time since I had to site my sources, was not aware that responding to an open forum required sources. But if you have Google, twitter, or access to CTOC which it looks like you do you should be able to see plenty.
Picture of my son's truck after a wiring harness issue made the...
The stumbles with the release of the Cybertruck are not helping the EV community or movement. Trucks breaking down on the side of the road or being unable to charge is making Tesla even more of a meme. All new vehicles have issues but the number of Chevys and Toyotas that are breaking right...
My son's truck had this issue, left him and his family stuck on the highway hundreds of miles form home. Since then I have been following other cases of the same failure and no one has had a fix yet despite several service centers keeping them for weeks. These will end up going back to TX for...
Tesla could have done about 20 things to make the truck better and or safer. Rear view mirror camera, camera washer, headlight snow placement, frunk crush sensors, the list goes on. They did not include those things to reduce cost and increase production speed. The frunk thing is just a bad...
Yea this is a replace the truck or send it to TX kind of situation. The wiring harness is located in such a way and with so many connections it is not a quick or easy fix, one of about 20 parts that is critical to the vehicle and very difficult to replace.
The frunk lid finger smash is the most overhyped thing out there. I see the same people screaming from the rafters about how thousands of people will lose limbs due to the pinch points while saying the truck shutting down on the highway is just early adopter tax.
Don't think anyone's heart is bleeding for the flippers who bough trucks for 110k and now are trying to sell them for 125 and break even after fees and taxes
Would give it some time before you take a road trip with the CT. My son and family got stranded hundreds of miles way with a wiring harness problem out of nowhere. Would make sure you are doing the shakedown trip not during rush hour.
Pretty common knowledge that the Foundation Series takers are about done no matter how long far you go down the list the percentage will continue to dwindle. The days of renting the truck for 1000 or even 500 a day on Turo are gone and the tiktokers have already made all the videos there are to...
The problem with personally loaning or leasing the vehicle with an agreement to sell at the end is all the issues the truck is having. You think someone is going to be ok with having a high voltage wiring harness replaced taking 3 weeks+, they can't schedule service appointments or anything...
Tesla will be putting larger packs into the Cybertruck soon, likely when the Foundation Series is over. Current pack size is not enough for towing and general work truck use.
