Wasnāt the PCS after all. Fingers crossed the issue doesnāt arise again given that they didnāt actually replace anything. Regardless, Iām excited to get my truck back soon š
Still nothing new. Still donāt know whatās actually wrong. Iāve seen some pretty scary firmware alerts come through on Tessie but theyāre actively working on it, so that doesnāt mean much. I will be sure to let you guys know once there is a resolution.
No answers yet. They still arenāt sure whatās wrong. The truck charged back up to 80% on AC power today though. If it is the PCS, it isnāt the normal failure by any means.
They are repairing it as we speak with an ETA of tomorrow afternoon. I donāt have any specifics right now. Iām leaving them alone to do their thing but the truck is powered back up and it charged on a wall connector today as well.
Carvana was 3k below Tesla and without the trade in credit, obviously. I looked just for the heck of it after the Tesla offer. I have read stories about Tesla adjusting trade in values down day of and that sort of stuff. My experience was first rate. I donāt think they even evaluated it. Just...
Itās the first hardware failure I have ever had on any EV I have owned (I believe Iām up to 7 now). No need for a loaner, I have several others to choose from.
Well, the lord giveth and the lord taketh away. My truck just threw this error while charging and then promptly bricked in my driveway. I suspect itās a PCS failure. I saw some weird shadow codes in Tessie related to the PCS during the last charging session as well. They are coming with the flat...
The FSD conundrum is an issue I didnāt have to deal with, and certainly adds to the calculus especially for the FS owners. I bought my CT simply because itās so much fun to drive (I have owned all the ICE super trucks and nothing drives as well as the CT IMO). For one reason or another, my...
I have had my new truck for a couple of weeks now. Decided to go for it after I checked on a trade in value and was surprised to see a number <10% less than what I paid new, 16 months ago (at a point when they had really great incentives). I had a late 24 with most of the teething issues worked...
Checked today and itās on a truck to my delivery location. Delivery date is still TBD, but making quick progress. Iām a couple states over from Tx.
I built my own off grid solar setup just to charge our EVs. Why? Because I wanted to, it was fun, and I like the energy independence. I have 4x314 AH ecoworthy batteries, 12 400 watt panels, and a 12000XP V2 inverter. Used integra rack ground mount along my fence row in my small back yard...
This is perfectly summarized. I like battery tech and keep up with this space and this is dead on the money. The author of the linked article is a drama queen and the worst part of that website. I rather like the other authors there.
Youāve lost 8 miles indicated at 80% over 50k miles and youāre upset? This is nothing, especially given that we are talking about Tesla who is especially cheap when it comes to buffers. Our model Y with 50k has 15% degradation. It went from 270 miles at 80% indicated to 223 miles. This is...
I had this problem. I got the gate back level by bending the striker plates, but I had a tailgate error on the screen as well. Turns out it damaged the latches in the gate when the striker plates bent. Tesla replaced all of it for about 500 bucks and good as new. The only durability issue I...
