Tesla will change Foundation Series order to Non-FS without penalty (YMMV)

I hope you're right since FS buyers are paying that extra $20k and should expect more than badging. I have an early reservation and did get the invitation but I'll take a wait-and-see approach this time around. We paid top dollar for our 2018 Model 3 in June of that year because I didn't want...

Tesla will change Foundation Series order to Non-FS without penalty (YMMV)

You could be right since Tesla changes things freqently but I wouldn't count on I wouldn't count on them enabling a feature that the vehicle is "capable" of but I didn't pay extra for but they do make changes to their policies all the time. If they were including FSD, I would expect them to say...

Tesla will change Foundation Series order to Non-FS without penalty (YMMV)

All Tesla vehicles are "FSD Capible" but that doesn't mean FSD is included unless you pay for it. We paid and have it on our Model 3 but decided not to pay the $15k extra when we bought our Model Y but the Model Y is "FSD Capible" sort of. The vision-only tech still doesn't allow many of the...

Just got the email from Tesla, foundation series ready to order

I paid $7k for FSD on our Model 3 but passed on paying $15k for it on our Model Y. The included AP does most everything I like and can ad FSD or pay monthly if it seems worth it in the future. If I can ad for $7k when I decide to order a CT, I'll probably do it but seems unlikely.

Just got the email from Tesla, foundation series ready to order

We also bought a 2018 Model 3 LR Rwd new and paid over $60k out the door so I've already donated my share to the mission so will wait this time. Still own both vehicles and are still the best vehicles I've ever owned in the last 53 years of driving.

Just got the email from Tesla, foundation series ready to order

Got the invite but after seeing the $20k markup for the FS, I'm happy to just wait. Already paid more than $20k for our 2023 Model Y in Nov. of 2022 than they were selling for 2 months later with the tax credit. The only option on the Model Y LR was the tow hitch and we paid over $72k out the...

What if I don't want the foundation series?

I finally got the invite to configure a Foundation Series but with $20k added to a duel motor making it still over $100k out the door and no tax benefit, I'm passing for now.

Cybertruck EPC parts catalog page is up! -- Part numbers # and schematics / diagrams of parts & components

Looks similar to the 16v one in our 2023 MYLR but probably larger. We had to have the 12v one in our 2018 M3LR replaced under warranty and plan on doing that proactively for that car when the 3-4 year mark rolls around since it is lead acid and don't want to get stranded. Time will tell how...

Cybertruck EPC parts catalog page is up! -- Part numbers # and schematics / diagrams of parts & components

This answered my question about the 48v source. Seems it will be a 48v battery. MV BATTERY-LITHIUM ION-48V Part number 1679931-99-E

"Prepare for Delivery" Email Received for RN11278xxxx (Cybertruck Foundation Series Cyberbeast AWD)! 😱

RN 1127738XX in NV trimotor fsd No invitation yet but not sure I'm ready anyway. At the current prices and reduced range, I'll probably wait for other tire options on a duel motor before even considering it.

"Prepare for Delivery" Email Received for RN11278xxxx (Cybertruck Foundation Series Cyberbeast AWD)! 😱

I'm hoping the price will drop $20k like what happened 2 months after we got or 2023 Model Y 🤞

Did I miss the onboard air compressor? Is it there?

There has to be an air source for the air suspension but air capable of running air tools would probably require more CFM with a few gallons of holding tank or a very fast recovery. I'm already used to carrying a portable 12v for emergency tire repairs but on tires that large, it may take...

Rivian R1T vs Cybertruck Specs & Pricing Compared

If they make the extender with the capability to take it out and use it like a Powerwall when you don't need the extra range and have an owner-install option, I'd buy it without a second thought.

🍻 CyberBeer + CyberStein Limited Edition Set Giveaway! [Enter Here]

We sold our 2003 Ram Quad cab back in 2016 after deciding driving it was just too expensive for gas. Bought our first Tesla in 2018 and our second one in 2022. Hoping for a 500-mile range Cybertruck to haul things with or we may just keep using the Model Y until one comes along.

Is the 4 motor CyberTruck version the "plaid" version?

I thought the tri-motor was history when the quad talk began. The only reason I reserved the tri-motor for the advertised range estimate of 500+ miles and never really cared about 0-60 times. If they offer a dual motor with that range for less money, it will be fine for everything I would need...

    Is $10 premium connectivity sustainable?

Our Model 3 has FSD beta and my grandson, that is currently driving it, loves it but with the removal of radar and sonic sensors I just couldn't justify spending even the $6k for enhanced AP much less $15k on a feature that isn't as capable as what I used to drive. If they ever get the "vision...

    Is $10 premium connectivity sustainable?

I like the satelite images while driving that also display traffic conditions in real time along with business names etc in the area I'm in. When waiting in my car while either charging or just waiting for my wife doing some shopping, I like watching Youtube, Netflix, or just browsing the web...

    Is $10 premium connectivity sustainable?

We have premium connectivity for life included on our '18 Model 3 and I never hesitated adding it by an annual payment on our '23 Model Y. I'm not big into some of the features but I've grown to love several of them where paying $100 a year is worth it to me.
