Elon already said it would be the end of the year.
And we all know that everything he says comes true. Exactly on the schedule he lays out too.
Like an oracle really who can do no wrong.
Why even ask? It’s right there in his crystal clear language.

Thanks! No issues with mine ever but filing this away in my head as I've always expected it to fall off one day ;-)

I find it strange that their most premium product in the lineup is seemingly getting the least amount of immediate attention and support, particularly in the realm of ADAS (FSD/Autoplit)… or so it seems.

…quite the message imo

They dedicate resources to volume. The MY/3 gets updates, FSD, etc first.

My point was that September was likely never in play.

Ya know, kind of crazy! Some folks say search the forum for an answer, BUT this discussion has been going on over a year and there is no definitive answer! At first it was like, OK, the CyberTruck is different, so they want to get it right… I understand,,, but that was early 2024! I asked the question to Tesla Service reps and have not gotten a response. Just seems weird?? If theres a good legit answer, regardless of what it is, get it out there! Thx
If you have Grok on your phone, select the 3 strips top left, There you will see your past conversations. Select the conversation you are interested in continuing. You can pick right up there. I haven't figured out a way to do it from the vehicle yet.

"SBW is the problem and that's why they haven't been able to do ASS."

Question: If SBW is software controlled, couldn't Tesla just ... disable it for ASS?

Also, though it would be totally useless, I think it'd be hilarious to be able to just wag the rear wheels without the front turning. While stopped, of course. Though, it should be easy to allow for crabbing by just letting us select "Crab" or "Side, Side, Slippety Slide".

We can already select Extract and wade modes. Why not enable Assisted Side Slipping for Horizontal And Tight Spots"?

ASS is built on the older AP stack according to a former AP programmer at Tesla. That seems to be the most commonly accepted reason the CT doesn't have it. They are redesigning it as banish/Summon for parking lot navigation for unsupervised.

If steer by wire is a ‘problem’.. how on earth can it work for FSD but not ASS.?
