uhmmm, I’m in the process of working out the transaction details and they know this…

so I guess some other ‘behind the scenes’ implementations are being done… temporary glitch in the system now… I wonder what update will come… considering all the recents Tesla activity in the news, earnings etc….

Same ordered 10/14… preordered a day or two after the unveiling

Got my Vin today, submitted order on 10/14 and got vin on 10/30. Preordered day 1 of announcement. No timeline yet for delivery. In Georgia, should deliver to Savannah I believe.

Just basing this off both logic and what people have reported. Every single VIN that’s been assigned in the 3 instances that I have seen (I don’t live on this forum) have Al paid cash.

Thats a very small sample size, and I’m only sharing my hunch. But seems cash sales have taken priority to me, whatever the reason may be.

Day one res holder, ordered 10/4, AWD and requesting trade in offer which I have not received yet. Am financing with decent down payment.

Has anyone who’s received a VIN mentioned financing?

I have switched the payment method like 3 times to see if the app would give me a VIN, no luck.

Got my VIN today with no text or email notification. I check the app 2-3 times a day. Located near Sarasota, FL

5/2/2020 : $100 reservation
10/11/2024 : $250 payment from email for Non FS AWD
10/31/2024 : VIN Assignment

Let’s goooooooooo we’ve got a super stoked day one res holder here, 10/4 order and have finally got a VIN.

Had a few days to select delivery from, 11/6 earliest to 11/13. Going with 11/13 as I want to sell my car first. Tesla offered 14,600 for my Model 3 with 48k miles. Caravana offered just under 20k….during that ellipses just now I sold my Model 3 to a local used car lot for $21K with a cracked windshield. Big crack, all the way across. They would have done $23k if I got the windshield fixed. I was typing this up while waiting for them to offer a price. Worth noting here also I was rear ended 3 times in my model 3 so car fax wasn’t doing me any favors for resale value.

Also since I started typing this, my delivery date has been upgraded to 11/6! Woot woot!

Another thing they will likely do is rapidly expand the accessories available for the truck to make it more attractive. Possibly an updated pop up camper, pull behind camper with solar and batteries, etc.

In my opinion, Tesla has much bigger fish to fry than adding frivolous things like pop-up campers and tow behind trailers. Like robotaxis, the potential profits and positive impacts on society are huge!

I bet less than 5% of trucks sold ever end up with a camper in the bed. The truck market is huge, Tesla doesn't need to cater to fringe use cases.

I'm probably their biggest target market, a guy who doesn't want to live without a pickup available 24/7, because I like doing stuff myself rather than hiring "professionals". Normally, I wouldn't even use my truck as a daily driver because there are too many compromises with safety, driving dynamics, ease of parking, and fuel cost with a traditional truck. But Tesla has managed to solve all of those issues such that my perfectly good Model 3 Performance with only 32K miles just sits in the driveway. I love the way my Cybertruck drives, and this is the first truck I have been able to say that about.

Have you shots them a message through your app and asked ? Months ago that’s what I did and the guy at the delivery center got me a vin in a day and I only waited 7 days from when I ordered. Sometimes if you get a cool guy or girl at the right time they help ya out.

I got my VIN on Halloween thankfully. Waiting on insurance and financing to come back now. Still no date of delivery yet.

we ordered a FS a while back and got a delivery date in like 2 days. Didn’t have to have insurance or financing figured out before delivery date. We decided to hold out for the regular version.
