I can't wait for the CT to arrive on the farm. I use all electric timber saws, sawmill and land management tools for our tree farm. the last tool in the process is the vehicle that brings the trees to the mill and delivers products. Can't wait to say 100%

yes, I reserved 7 trucks in a row once the words Go Order came out of his mouth.
Unless FSD is fully operational when it’s your time to collect your 7 trucks just let me know if you need some help driving them, just give a heads up in advance so I can book the airfare.

So, what’s the market for Electric Trees?
Would be amazing if we could grow those but we don't. Nope, not a single one, none, zero, nada, nunca, not a bit, not any, not a one, not a bit, not a part, not a part of any.

Well, there is a conversion process. Just look up cultural trends surrounding Christmas. In some cases, people have started using artificial trees but traditionally natural growth trees have been used for the conversion.

Looking at your pictures though, seems you are not directly working in that market. But the fully electric processing of trees and tree materials is really cool. That's an amazing development. I hope some of the benefits of using electricity are similar for you as we see with EVs. Like lower maintenance, better safety, no emissions to deal with, etc. The one EV benefit you probably don't get much of though is quieter operations. I love the quiet of a good EV. Not sure your saws get any quieter when being run on electricity though.

No, not in the Christmas tree market but you never know. So agree with you on that being electric not only there's no smell of exhaust anymore and now only the smell of the trees themselves and Ill tell you, the smell of a pine or a cedar being cut is amazing and using electric chainsaws, the noise of the engine is gone only the chain so hearing protection is no longer needed and we are more aware of the dangers of a tree falling on you.

I've had a corded electric Oregon chainsaw for years, just added an 80V battery one from a different brand. The on-saw sharpening of the Oregon is *chef's kiss*, kind of missing that on the greenworks. What brand(s) do you all use, and have you been satisfied with them?

See, I'd love to come tour your facilities just to experience the smells. I'm interested in the tech and process too but the real draw would be the smells.

I'm originally from Nebraska and during certain times of the year the natural smell of the grass lands is so wonderful. I love getting to experience those natural wonderful smells. Now the negative side applies too though. The "natural" smells of a cattle feed lot or pig / chicken farm are even stronger and not in a nice way. But one could argue that there is nothing natural about the extreme concentration of farm animals so I try not to think of those smells when I think of "home".

you might laugh but when Kobalt came out with their first battery operated saw the 40 volt 16 inch bar over 6 years ago we started using that to see. We adapted the saw with a 20 inch bar and worked well but when they came out with the 80 volt we changed over to that with a larger bar and haven't had issues for 5 years now.

No laughter at all. Makes perfect sense to me.

How big of a bar do you run on the 80V saws?
back in 2016 did the conversion. Here's a pic of the 20 inch Oregon bar on Kobalt 80 volt
