1K Deposit + Order On Hold = Cut the Line?

I have read some comments online saying the $1K deposit can only be applied towards FS. However, it's not that I don't want to buy FS. Technically, there isn't any FS to be purchased since Tesla does not make it in September.

Will you cut the line? Because each hold has a time limit.

1. Pay $1K deposit today and put your order on hold until Sep. 31st
2. In Sept., remove the hold before the hold expires at month-end
3. Only Non-FS is available for purchase at that point

Probably wishful thinking. They will still be delivering FS series until the end of the year as we see with CB projections.

I would guess, judging by Tesla's history and "holds" that if you don't take delivery of a FS by the end of the year, you will lose your deposit and place in line.

That's what happens almost every year to people who are holding out for better tax credits.

Lots of assumptions going on. The first and probably worse is that no Foundations Series will be available in September. That's pretty slim, since many are still getting Dec delivery dates.

Another being that you don't get dropped completely. While Tesla may not catch on to these schemes immediately, they often do eventually.

I'm confident that laser etched FS trucks will continue to be manufactured through the end of the year.

They will commingle with non-FS trucks on the assembly line.
