Yesterday decided to do something I wouldn’t have done in the lightning and took the cybertruck on a family weekend road trip to camelback for snow tubing and the water park……all I can say and my family can say is how amazing the CT is, it drove us the whole way (minus one stop sign turning issue) and used less range then predicted despite highway speeds in the mid to upper 70s

it literally got double the real world highway range of my lightning

so impressed

The lightning was great as it felt so familiar to me (Have had about 5 F150's)
Pros over CT: more room inside, much bigger bed and frunk, works with standard pickup accessories
cons comp to CT: much less aero especially on highway so range is significantly less although I had the SR

CT Pros over Lightning: range, tech (it is like a space ship), FSD works on all roads hands free not just highways (although BC with updates was excellent), size is better for me, fits in garage and easier to park, turning radius and overall steering is better

Lightning was the best pickup truck that I had had in overall function (other than range). CT feels like the future of automobiles.....its funny because the crazy exterior styling took a while to grow on me but driving one sold me on it.
I thought the bed of the CT was bigger than the Lightning since there aren’t any wheel jumps in the bed?

Welcome to the fam, by the way time to move back that tennis ball a bit ?
Pollleeeease, that is (insert eye roll) a "pickle ball", not a tennis ball. Ugh!
(AS a hard-core tennis player, I simply cannot let this insult slide, lol!)

I never pictured myself buying a ford, ever; but the lightning via multiple test drives felt quite excellent. It just didn’t feel special. It was a nice EV conversion, but it was very very good.

What trim lightning did you have?
What size battery?
What are tough thoughts on seats in CT vs Ford?
What did you think is better executed in the ford?

I had a lariat SR with 98kw battery I think (although might have been a touch more)

interior space and overall storage was much more but cybertruck completely adequate

lightning fit and finish was outstanding and drove really well. Bluecruise stunk at first but after updates was fantastic and on par with FSD on highway only though (and only some highways)

lighting is a good deal bigger and much harder to maneuver and park but no different than other full size trucks

lightning was plenty fast but more boring than the CT

both great vehicles but the CT is just on another level

I think apples to apples Lariat ER is a closer comparison. I agree otherwise. Interior bits CT are all soft touch too.
