This is the first time I noticed a number written on the window of a carrier going to the Hutto depot. I will keep looking out for numbers moving forward to see if there is a trend.

is the number possibly the latest count?

If it is, so what?

Could just be the store number.

If you consider likely production rates, 2223 for the number of CTs made to date is low. If they had 400 CTs finished on 12/1 and 82 days later, yesterday, 2,223 would be about 22 CTs per day. Hopefully the production is higher than that.

Mine is slated for mid-end of year, so hopefully it is a location number and not some kind of count.

There was a lot of backfill to be done and VINs were not assigned in a linear fashion. Production rates had been around 50 when we last had access.

I think if you include all the test vehicles etc 2.2k is feasible, especially if considering that some VINs have not made it out of giga yet due to issues in production etc. 100 trucks have made it out via this forum's members so think that x15ish is not unreasonable

Yes, if by VIN, that number would include 130 ‘rest’ vehicles (110MCs and 20 showroom units), but would not include the VIN gaps remaining for Cyberbeasts (conceivably 300 or more).

Folks need to remember that, where it comes to VIN numbers, there are essentially two different vehicle streams moving at two very different rates, but sharing the same overall VIN series.

Seeing eg VIN 2500, does not mean 2500 Cybertrucks have been built.

It means that AWD builds are trucking along, with some unknown number of unbuilt Cyberbeasts below VIN 2500 (plus 130 non-retail units). Beast volumes have not picked up materially, while AWD volumes are slowly (slowly) creeping upwards).

Wet finger in air, seeing eg VIN 2223 means something like 1,600-1,800 CTs have been built, and maybe as few as half of those have been delivered and registered by owners.

How do you know the CB VIN being allocated already even months before they will actually been build?

I just saw a truck with 4 CT’s and 2 MY and none of them had numbers this time. The number of trucks to the depot seem to be less frequent as well, but more CT’s these days on those trucks
