Just wanted to share my experience with the 2024 CyberBeast Foundation Series LightBar—because wow, what a ride.
Part 1 – The Excitement (and the Launch) I finally got the email from Tesla saying my LightBar was ready for install. Made the appointment, waited a month, and got it installed. Within a week, it started loosening up. I contacted Tesla, booked another appointment (another month-long wait), and then—BOOM! The LightBar flew off. Yes, flew. Check out the video and photos I posted.
Part 2 – Redemption at the New Service Center I brought it into a brand-new service center and the team there was fantastic. They apologized, installed a new LightBar, and are going to reimburse me for the rewrap. They also replaced my cantrails and gave me $300 to rewrap both sides. But guess what? One week later, the LightBar started loosening again.
Part 3 – Duct Tape and Determination I duct-taped the LightBar down and headed back to service ASAP. They installed a third LightBar, and this time the tech mentioned that Tesla engineers were very interested in my case—they even sent the failed unit to them. Several weeks have passed and the new LightBar is holding strong. I love the look, and it integrates beautifully with the Assault Lightshow.
Pro Tip for Installers Before tearing apart your truck to connect wires, try installing the LightBar via Tesla’s software first. The original installers wired it manually, but the service advisor didn’t know how to activate it—he ended up showing me a YouTube video. I figured it out later at home.
Good luck! Hope this sheds some "light" for some of you still waiting for your lightbar!
