I had the Los Gatos service center install the new Terrestrial Armor package https://shop.tesla.com/product/cybertruck-terrestrial-armor-package

I beat up the truck quite a bit since I got it in April 25; so this is extra piece of mind.

The enhanced rock sliders / structural rockers look great with a textured finish.

The battery cover is solid, but not yet tested. Also, it conveniently covers up prior transgressions :p

Niceeeeeee! Can’t wait for mine. Did they say anything about being able to jack it up from anywhere on the rocker panel? And any indication of future control arm armor extension like brackets or holes near the control arms?

Can it function as a step for little human feet?
Kind of looks like no because it’s angled towards the ground. Is that accurate?

The untextured piece running above the rocker. Is that plastic still? Or just untextured? Looks like it runs the length of the rocker

That the part I’m worried they can’t step on. The current t-sport line rocker ā€œarmorā€ I have is flat at the top so functions well as a step.

Yeah, the angled part is plastic, the horizontal is metal. So less room to step versus your setup which is all horizontal.

Thanks. I got it on Etsy when I did the first bluey truck. I stuck it on and then covered it with a piece of clear ppf. The person who made them went out of business though.
Luckily, when I pulled off my first wrap before the trade in, I preserved it on a piece of the blue PPF so I was able to turn into a strong magnet by sticking it to a 60mm magnetic sheet. The kids and by extension my wife would never have forgiven me for that loss.
So now it’s even more fun because it travels. They literally put in on a different place every single day.

Oh wow, I need that! Question for @kush777 : how much does it reduce the truck's height, and does that show up on the truck's display? The bottom of my Toyota is all scraped to heck from off-roading and I've definitely put its rock sliders and bash guards to the use they were designed for. I want to do the same with my Cybertruck but I've been too chicken so far, partly due to being afraid of hitting the battery pack on a rock.

There’s pretty much no clearance difference

You can check your real time ground clearance in the Off-Road app, but I’m not sure if it updates when you add the armor package.

Hey guys,

I don't get the sense that there is any impact on ride height.

Regards to hitting battery pack, it can take a lot of abuse. I put a rather large dent (~3-4 inches across the battery pack) before getting the terrestrial armor, and there was zero impact to any system.

Regarding using any part of armor as jack points, the answer is probably no.
"Place the jack only on the designated lift points, which are located at each corner of the chassis."

"Can it function as a step for little human feet?"
- Yes, little feet would be fine, while it's narrow, its very sturdy, I bounced up and down on it. See pic

Forgot to mention, as a bonus it eliminates those silly fairings / mudflaps
Yes. I eliminated mine with the ev-vida kit. They suck.
