After a few days of thinking, I finally came up with this idea for a Phone/Tablet holder that can be rope looped over the front seat for the rear passenger's use. Sadly I haven't come across any products that will work in this way so I just decided to design one myself.

It's designed to fit any size phone to nearly any tablet with up to an 13" screen and will also hold a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. It just uses a length of paracord to hold itself to the front seat.

You can 3D print it for free from here https://makerworld.com/en/models/1807833-phone-tablet-rear-seat-holder-for-fixed-headrest

Oh sweet thanks man! Have you been able to do any testing on bumpy roads? Either way I like it

I've found it does swing left to right on some roads, I'm currently printing out a revision to it that uses less filament and also a modular add on "anti sway bar" that I'll probably have up in a few hours. It's probably worth waiting for the second revision.

Drew, I think your product is most likely superior but wanted to drop a link for this for people who are not 3d print capable like myself.

I'm surprised I didn't come across that one when I was looking for something that would work. Good catch!

The downsides I see with that are the screen sits pretty low for viewing and it will definitely swing in the corners. It also won't fit anything smaller than a tablet. I like the gripping method of theirs better though, it's hard to reproduce something with that much clamping force in a print. I'd need springs or a lot of rubber bands.

So, just an idea, I’m assuming the stock seat covers are exactly that. covers. If this is true, there is likely a way to get under them and wiggle a hand inside the backrest.
if this is true, you could slide a strong magnet in there and then a second one on the outside of the cover to make a pretty secure mount point for something relatively light like an iPad no?

Updated the design of the Phone/Tablet mount.

I'm quite happy with it at this point, it uses a new thread which is much faster to adjust and a nicer to grip knurled nut. The threads are also thicker and stronger and the long version now can hold up to a 13" tablet and there's also a short phone only version if someone prefers a short one. You can also cut the shaft to your preferred custom length in Bambu Studio.
