Just curious if there’s any development for a fifth wheel/gooseneck adaptor that would fit the Cybertruck. I know the sail panel is there, but with D-ring mount areas, 2500lb payload capacity and a tall enough mount, I’m hoping that smaller 30ft and under rigs might be able to work, especially for short camping trips (and even better maneuverability with 4-wheel steering)

Is there any documentation or analysis that supports this?
Of course not, it's complete bullshit. Not surprising if you look at who posted it.

What is true is the Cybertruck cannot use the crappy universal 5th wheel hitches made for legacy trucks. Whether someone designs a 5th wheel hitch kit for Cybertruck remains to be seen. This is a very niche market so I wouldn't expect to see one anytime soon. Maybe in a couple of years.

Until then, custom mounts only.

The bolt patterns ARE there, it’s just a question of if Tesla says it can support a heavy weight load on those bolt points. From what I’ve researched 5th wheel hitch manufacturers will have a sort of “mounting bar” that then allows you some play in adjustments. The hitches are out there, it’s just getting Tesla to confirm if it can be mounted to where we have our D rings, and what extra height we would need in order to clear the sail panels.
