I am making my way to Pittsburgh this weekend. The garage at my hotel has a max clearance of 6 foot. I know especially in low mode I should make it, but is that too close for comfort? Should I consider another option or just go for it?

Thanks!

Those parking garages are always too close for comfort. Go for it. Just keep the speed down so the truck doesn't change to whatever setting you were driving in. (Keep it in Beast mode and it should stay low enough) and keep the screen for height adjustment on. You can react fast if you hear the suspension air up.

Go for it. “High, Very High and Extract” are the only modes that exceed 6’. There’s almost always a bumper bar (non-destructive “warning” near the entrance that’ll remind you too. I regularly park mine in a 6’ garage and never change my ride height.

I am going to go for it. Now I just need my all terrain tires to do OK in the 3-6 inches of snow being called for :D.

Lower pressures can give you more grip in the conditions; and also give you another inch in the garage.

If you swipe-left on the media controls to view the tire pressures, it should display your current height:

That's assuming you're not using monster-truck tires lol

Also, keep in mind that the height is based on a level surface; when you're transitioning onto a ramp, it will reduce the clearance.

I have a parking garage at work, and my first trip into the garage had me stopping at low-clearance spots to get out and check, hahahaha

THIS. 6 feet to get in doesn't mean you're clear everywhere, especially when transitioning on and off ramps.

You can drive in entry mode to get even lower but you need to keep speeds below 10mph. Entry mode is lower than Low ride height. https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/cybertruck/en_us/GUID-52FD0453-C200-4757-AC74-8D9BC4F00937.html

Ask me how I learned that one.

I’d personally be a little cautious with a hard 6 ft clearance, even in low mode. On paper it should fit, but all it takes is a slightly off measurement, a ramp, or uneven pavement to make it stressful.

You might want to check nearby garages as a backup. I’ve used YourParkingSpace before and found the reviews helpful for spotting places with more realistic clearance info (and fewer surprises). Having a Plan B would definitely make the weekend less nerve-racking.
