. FS lifetime supercharging is already good enough to clear that inventory.
Where is this coming from? FS inventory was removed for 2 days and then reappeared.

Demand is limited. It is for all 80k+ vehicles and more so for EV trucks.

I believe CT sales have slowed and all first adopters have adopted.

A local inventory check for my area shows 33 CT’s available for immediate delivery, all 2024 models.

The inventory check shows some previous demo’s, new units and some FS trucks.

My hunch is that new price cuts are coming to blow out 2024 CT inventory and get them off the books.

Mine shows 27, but it's a mix of FS, demo, and new 2024.

Hope everyone is doing well. Been a while. I still am holding on to 2 of my for 2019 reservations, so much like SW I am pateintly watching to see if we see enough of a price correction to make a purchase.

What ever happened to the possible 7500 IRS POS rebate? Was that an unfounded rumor?

Wasn't a POS, is a tax credit.

you’re seeing as low at 72-74 because of gas savings in the listing. best discount i see on new inventory is -$1600. i plan on moving forward with one here soon. i suspect tesla is trying to push them out for new models, possible 2025 year models eligible for the tax credit.

Agree. I see a lot of 2024 models in inventory (Boston area), and they're gonna need to blow those out because any buyer who has a clue will want a 2025 for the $7500 POS tax rebate/credit.

Also agree, the demand for $80k+ vehicles is limited. There's only so many ppl who can afford it.

With the 2025s eligible for tax credit and the auto market as terrible as it is I’m not surprised, other teslas typically are discounted a bit in inventory so why not CT….plus referral credit went down too

Other full size trucks are discounted 10k plus now, even f150 raptors that are limited production are discounted now anywhere from 3k to 6k I’ve seen
Auto market is doing great. 2024 sales in US = 15.8 million units, up from 15.5 in 2023, 13.8 (!) in 2022, 15.0 in 2021, and 14.5 in 2020.

I think there are only some many people that will afford it. Just because a buyer can afford an $80K vehicle, does not mean they want to deploy capital in that way. If I spend $80K on a Cybertruck today, I am foregoing 186 shares of TSLA. There is a consensus amongst investors that TSLA reaches $2000 by 2030. That $80K truck now cost me $373K, in missed opportunity. Alternatively, if Cybertruck is $60K, and I finance $37K, by trading in a vehicle that would not be used, I end up with a very manageable payment of $681. I'll probably buy before it gets this low, but I am certainly waiting for the inevitable price drops. I have followed Tesla long enough to know that is always the plan. I love Cybertruck, but not as much as I love buying TSLA, so I'll just wait until what I want does not interfere with what I need. I don't fault those that have bought. I totally get it. I have looked at the website a million times, and configured an order, and drove by the service center. I oogle the foundation trucks with free supercharging. I feel a little like Braveheart

When I look at inventory available for my ZIP Code, I see 2024 new trucks and new trucks without any year designation.
So are these new trucks actually 2025 models?

That's correct.

In my inventory there are multiple options:

2024 New Vehicle
2024 Demo
2024 New Vehicle Foundation Series
New Vehicle (no discounts at all).

The new vehicle are different than the 2024 new vehicle, so it's safe to say those are 2025.

True it is getting back close to 2019 pre-covid numbers but prices and discounts are also heading back to reality (Heavy discounts on trucks especially)…..inventory surpluses are becoming the norm again as well

Many new truck buyers are not eligible for the tax credit, particularly if they have large tax bills. You might say those who pay full price are funding those who are eligible for the credit. This has always been the reality around the $7500 tax credit and Tesla incorporates it into their sales strategy. They know that not ALL production of each model that qualifies needs to qualify.

For example, with the Model Y Tesla had batteries from multiple suppliers. They could deliver you a Model Y that qualified for the tax credit, or one that didn't, you had to tell them whether you needed one that qualified.
