A tent for an Aptera

Just curious since I don't know the benefits of it since I've not camped since I was a child: Why does the car need to be inside the tent as well?

Oh! That's our Burning Man tent. Outside is terrible:

No, that picture isn't out of focus, it's inside a dust storm.

Even without that, the car isn't absorbing the sun, and I used it as thermal mass, letting it cool to the night's low, and then using it as an icebox.

And I was able to keep food fresh for a week because of this.

It also kept my batteries cool and the dust mostly out. ...Well, that's what the tent in the tent is for.
