At a recent car show, Goodyear displayed a tire with an additional sensor for pressure and temperature. It resembles an internal tire repair patch or balance weight. By measuring the tire temperature, the car can detect road temp to help identify the surface, wetness, snow, etc. The Pirelli Cybertire system can detect axial forces and adapt the car's suspension to compensate for optimal tire performance. So now I'm curious how Tesla uses this second sensor from Goodyear.
