I'm not sure why they would bother to use nitrogen during service if it was an open air system which drew from the atmosphere.

Eliminate the possibility of introducing moisture perhaps? I'm not sure but I can't imagine that the truck generates nitrogen on the fly.I'm not sure why they would bother to use nitrogen during service if it was an open air system which drew from the atmosphere.
I'd like to know what else you've found out about this. What kind of air lines/fittings are used specifically. Is that some kind of seal on the fittings that tells if the system has been tampered with?A good look at the Air Suspension pump / reservoir tank underneath Cybertruck bed floor.

Someone even put a clear glass cover in the bed to show it off!

If it's a sealed system it doesn't need to generate nitrogen any more than a sealed A/C compressor needs to generate refrigerant. If it's not a sealed system and uses atmosphere then there is no reason to charge it with nitrogen to eliminate moisture.Eliminate the possibility of introducing moisture perhaps?
