Alcantara armrest DIY wrap (for extra sensitive elbows) 😎

Anyone here know if you can apply ceramic like gyeon or something like that to Alcantara?
if not, what works to protect it? It’s seems to clean up nicely with baby wipes, just trying to minimize grossness before it happens.

So I had this beat up TPE armrest cover which fit beautifully, but was more than a little past its prime. Definitely did its job. Was about to trash it but my inner hoarder took over.

Ordered some cheap self adhesive Alcantara from Amazon.

Was very easy to do and I’m pretty happy with the result. Very comfy.

Mine is not a beast but this is a close match for the beast dashboard.

What do you guys think?

So…in case anyone here has wondered how to clean Alcantara, I think I found an optimal method.
I have this little wolfbox blower that’s exceptionally strong but there are plenty of cheaper options and air seems to be the best way.
Wet wipes first (Huggies in my case)if there is anything gross or adhered to it.

I did the same. Purchased a plastic abs cover so I don’t mess with the original parts and glued using contact cement to match the doors and dash that on mine are now orange alcantara and I m happy with the results.

Looks really good. A big change look doing a little. I did the same and purchased abs covers so I don’t mess with the original parts. Looks good

I have been considering taking center cover to a custom upholstery shop to have extra padding, was even considering 1970’s “Roll and Pleat”.

This is on Amazon and works great. I got the idea from someone here a long time ago. The cup holders and small compartments work great and this just slips on easily and raises height also.

This is what I ordered.
I got the 16.25” by 59” to be safe but the narrower one should work too.
I just cut it to size, stuck it on and then trimmed the edges with a scalpel. xacto knife or scissors would work too.
