I had this redundancy error which rendered it not safe to drive according to the screen message. I did notice rear wheel steering did not function as my truck was being put on the flatbed. Service center found the connector not connected, after 4 days of diagnosis.
What would cause a connector to come loose? My experience with automotive and electronic connectors to be very difficult to pull apart. I would think with the truck being used in off roading with rocks and such the jarring of which should not cause connectors to be coming off. I have not been off roading, only a couple or three times hitting a curb from FSD or my self cutting corners too close. Also think the error would come immediately, not after the next or subsequent driving sessions.

Most likely it was “clicked” in during assembly. Just enough to make connection, and pass all the tests, and the rubber seal on the connector probably held it in place for a long time until it slowly shook loose.

Yes, most if not all have CPAs (Connector Position assurance). It’s likely that the connector was mishandled during assembly. Did they document the connector number?
