I'm not sure which vehicles people have driven before but my Z71 Tahoe drove much smoother. The ride on anything higher low is like driving on the moon.

I still like it and will likely keep it, but I understand why someone would want to return it.
The price you pay for being an early recipient., I get it.
None of these changed between converting to an order and showing up for pickup, tho.

  1. range is lower then promised.
  2. passthrough truck bed
  3. seating for six
  4. no FSD
  5. (no lidar)
  6. the stainless steel is wavy when you look at from an angle
  7. the door edges are hazardously sharp, rough cut.
  8. the white trim pieces are not smooth
  9. the headliner meeting the window is unfinished, its just a gap with visible threads.
  10. It feels like a rushed unfinished truck.
  11. Much cheaper vehicles have better finishes.
  1. Range is higher than the AWD at reveal. The 500+ was always going to be a later model.
  2. No passthrough was modeled or revealed.
  3. ...Kinda disappointing, but did you want comfy seating or not?
  4. FSD comes out when it comes out. No prototype had it.
  5. No Tesla has ever had lidar.
  6. Stainless is often that way. The prototypes were that way.
  7. This isn't true, at least by design. Some individual trucks might have this issue.
  8. Wha? Not on any trucks I've seen.
  9. ...Wha?
  10. It's supposed to be the Model 3 of trucks. What's unfinished?
  11. You're paying to have it this year instead of waiting. You can wait (as I have to.)

Range surpassed on the dual AWD. Just fyi
Fair enough on the dual, if you take it easy you can get 300+. I did not go with the tri-motor as it isn't anywhere near the 500, I am not racing a truck anytime soon, don't need the extra power.

For me there are enough negative things about the truck that I understand why someone would want to sell it.

I knew coming into my purchase what I was likely to get and I received what I expected. If you want to be happy with the truck you look past these imperfections.

I also understand why anyone would want to sell it.

Maybe it's not lidar but when i drive my S i get a sensor reading of how far objects are from me, this doesn't on the truck where its needed more.

I've never had a truck with such rough edges, I have had ford and chevy.

The white trim is pretty bad, they could hve gone with plastic and it would have been smoother. Looks like finger marks all over the place.

100K or 80k either way, there's a long list of things that could be better.

I get into my friend's Dodge Rebel or Ford Raptor and their interiors are nicely finished.

This is my opinion and experience, some might only see perfection, ok, from your view so be it.

I just don’t understand paying for it and THEN realizing it doesn’t do what you thought…. Like did you do ANY research. Did you “count the cost” of your purchase? If people realize they overspent and need to not have that payment, financially.. I totally get. And I can see frustration if theirs had some issues. But to buy a truck and then say it didn’t mean what 2019 promised .. and then realize they need to sell…. I don’t know.. I would never buy something that expensive without understanding the product I was buying, but that is maybe just me

also, I could see how the attention it gets could be too much for some… but again, I know that, I am picking up with naivety that I won’t get flipped off and lots of attention. But again, I researched and know what I am getting into

Yeah since I plan to get the beast the lower range def sucks but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
As for the panel edges the ones I’ve felt in person haven’t been bad at all tbh.

And the finishes to me are beautiful. Tesla has always went minimalistic with their interior design. The price you pay is for the technology in this beast.

End of the day it’s a truck, if I wanted some extravagant luxury interior finishes I would’ve went with another car. But since I plan to use this truck for work I’d rather it not have over the top and imo it looks far better than every truck ive owned.

It’s definitely to each their own but I’ve owned Denalis Raptors Tundra TRDs etc and in my opinion I prefer the interiors of the Cybertruck but then again I like simplicity. Ever since Tesla released the Model S I’ve been hoping they’d make a truck just because I love the minimalist feel of their interiors.

However I will agree the white trim for the Foundation series was a bad choice at least for me. I understand most of the buyers are probably Tesla owners who bought it only because it’s Teslas next big thing and they have no purpose for a truck, but I own a construction company and I get pretty dirty a lot so white interiors are always a no go for me. Really wish they would’ve offered a black or dark grey trim for the Foundation series as well off the bat.
