I’m not the most tech-savvy guy in the world, but it doesn’t seem like it should be this difficult to fix this problem.
I like to listen to YouTube videos occasionally when I drive (I NEVER look at the phone while driving. Well, maybe just at red lights?).

When I get into the Cybertruck, the audio from the phone gets switched over to the truck, so the video is still playing on the phone but no audio is coming from the phone. However, no sound comes from the truck‘s sound system either.

I’ve tried going into the Bluetooth menu and selecting “forget this device” and repairing. I’ve turned everything on and off again. The weird thing is the audio from YouTube DID transfer over to the truck for about two days but then I could never get it to do it again.

Any ideas appreciated.

Im not the most tech savvy guy either so someone might have better answers for you, but I believe if you go to YouTube in theatre on the truck, play the video you want to listen to and put the truck in drive it'll pause the video. If you then hit the play button while in drive you can still listen to the audio from the podcast or whatever, just no video.

In addition if you want to play it from your phone, after the audio transfers over, go into your phone audio settings and change the output source from phone to the CT.

Hope that helps

Bluetooth audio from your phone is one of the audio sources listed under the “source” icon when you are playing some other source of music. For example, if I’m listening to Tidal and I want to listen to a YouTube video, I would hit the small “Tidal” icon at the top of the music window, and then select “Bluetooth Audio” from the list. If you don’t do this, then your phone may think it’s playing audio through the truck, but you’re not listening to that source. Note that you can customize what appears in that list, so if you don’t see “bluetooth audio” check the audio settings, in the “Sources” tab, and make sure it’s selected to display in the list.

Funnily, there was a fairly recent update that allowed the truck to "Start a video in the web browser before your drive to enjoy your favorite content as audio on the road," but seems like you got it anyway.

Hopefully you got it all squared away! I've had really good luck playing YouTube over Bluetooth (selecting Bluetooth as the audio source).

I find using the YouTube app works the best for me as you have great control on the screen for pausing, skipping, etc. The Cybertruck's much better than our previous EV - it reconnects Bluetooth as a primary source for me. Previously having to connect every time I got in the car was kind of a pain, haha

Podcasts make drives sooo much better. Good luck.
