I feel like that is just a punishment for potential Canadian customers. I get they are upset and can understand why, but this seems like a self inflicted punishment to citizens.

It's a problem with a government targets one company out of spite and without a legal reason to do so simple because they disagree with the CEO's opinions on various topics. This is exactly what has happened here. And I hope the politicians suffer greatly for it.

I was trying to keep it factual without adding politics. The totally “logical” trade war has made a huge impact on Canada already. Canadians are very proud to be Canadian and take this trade war very personally. I would guess the relationship won’t fully heal in my lifetime.
