True, it pays to be married!Doesn't that contradict the IRS?
Turbo Tax screwed up, those are the limits for the pre-owned credit.I don't qualify.![]()
@Lasttoy the info from Turbo Tax is not correct. Review this link.
Tesla did foreshadow this though...Sooo .. gotta say I am SUPER unhappy with Tesla Corporate. It is absolutely clear to me that they were pushing to get rid of their 2024 CyberTrucks, as they knew they would not work for the Tax Credit ... and they purposefully kept their employees in the dark about when the Tax Credit would kick in. It kicked in 2 days after I took delivery of my 2024 CT. And since it is a 2024 it does not qualify for the rebate. I am kicking myself for not pushing just slightly harder to get a 2025 model ... that was dumb. But, it is very annoying that Tesla won't give some sort of discount on FSD as a "make good" for those of us that helped them out purchasing 2024 models. I understand we can't get the TaxRebate, as IRS says no for 2024 models... and I also understand no discount on hardware. But, a discount on software is perfectly acceptable - Tesla gets some $$ and I feel better about Tesla. But now I feel burnt by Tesla Corporate .. and .. well .. kinda really leaves a bad taste in my mouth (kinda same feeling when VW lied to customers about their diesels ...). BAAAH.
(I worked with very nice local sales people at Tesla who said they inquired about discounts on software, but were repeatedly told no .. even for those who picked up ones on Monday day .. when Monday evening Tesla announced that they are up for the rebate. JUST AWFUL.
Not all 2025s qualify, either. So even if you waited you may have been more upset with a 2025 that didn't qualify.Sooo .. gotta say I am SUPER unhappy with Tesla Corporate. Orders after the order page updated them would get the credit so waiting until now would have worked, and it says delivery in February. Not all 2025s qualify, either. So even if you waited you may have been more upset with a 2025 that didn't qualify.
Didn’t you get $1600 off the 2024 MSRP at least?Sooo .. gotta say I am SUPER unhappy with Tesla Corporate. yes, I did .. so you are correct, I shouldn't be complaining *too* much, I am very lucky I got that much!Didn’t you get $1600 off the 2024 MSRP at least?
If you are trying to process a Cybertruck, the 2024s did not qualify for the 30D Clean Vehicle Credit.I tried to process my taxes with Turbo and keep getting rejected. The error is no matching VIN for the clean vehicle. I was told that a Clean Vehicle Report should have been given to me at time of sale. I check in app. and not there. Anyone have advice on how to get this report?
Thanks,
