Here in Magnolia, TX (north of Houston) and nada. Tried to schedule with hopes that were dashed, politely, saying that I will need to wait for the email, just like the wheel covers.Just curious if anyone in Austin has gotten their lightbar yet. I asked service about mine, and they said everyone’s waiting.
Hope you get it!So, here’s my experience in Austin …. Asked early on (Aug) and Service response was they are not available, then made a service appt in Dec to get recalls done and added install light bar (along with all the other stuff),. They came back and said unfortunately the light bars were still unavailable. Then, they came back a week later and said they didn’t have all the parts and would have to push the service appt from mid Dec to early Jan. I started hearing folks were starting to get light bars, so I was optimistic that they might have pushed it to get a light bar in. As we got closer to the Jan appt, I texted them and said I was hearing folks getting their light bars, any chance they could include with this service visit. They came back and said they could, but the time they had allotted for my current appt wasn’t long enough to get all the recalls AND install the light bar and asked if I wanted to re-schedule. I said yes, they re-scheduled my appt, and now I’m scheduled for Jan 26th. So, unless this takes another turn, I should get all my recalls, wheel covers, and light bar end of Jan!!! Will keep you posted!
I only requested the appliqués along each side of the bed be replaced and the the wiper motor replacement. Those are the only actual notifications I received from Tesla. They added several other things to the appt …. Like torquing tri-motor oil fill plug, installing FlexCable harness guide, and checking tire pressures.Hope you get it!
can you share what all recalls you’re having worked on?
How exactly do you get these recall notifications? In the Tesla app? Because I have never had a notification for any recall for my Cyberbeast, for anything, ever.I only requested the appliqués along each side of the bed be replaced and the the wiper motor replacement. I got the two recall notices in the mail. I heard about them in blogs and in the news, then weeks later I got formal letters. How exactly do you get these recall notifications? In the Tesla app? Because I have never had a notification for any recall for my Cyberbeast, for anything, ever.
I did this too and got mine installed a couple of weeks ago. I am assuming they used double sided 3M tape, but I really don't know. I have no idea how they would use a bracket with all glass everywhere in that region. But Tesla engineers are smarter than me, so who knows?and just for fun added the installation of the lightbar to the service request
