Do you have the Caraoke module plugged in to the USB by chance?

I had the exact same issue and when I unplugged the Caraoke module, it solved the problem. The module when plugged in also seemed to introduce static into the audio at times, but it definitely stopped the volume from adjusting past 75% or so even though the slider would continue to move.
Yes. I was just wondering today if the microphone was causing that issue. Good call!

I’ve had my Beast since May and my stereo volume was amazing and veryloud. Now after however many updates, Tesla obviously lowered the volume. Once I turn it up over 75% of the slider on the screen, it doesn’t change at all. I don’t listen to super loud music but it’s about half the volume it used to be. Anyone else have this issue?
@CYBEAST

any updates?

Yes. Thx for the heads up everyone. I unplugged the Careoke adapter and got my volume back.

What is "the Caraoke module"?

The stereo sounds ridiculously good when you get the front/rear balance dialed in, and it goes ridiculously loud too (while still sounding clear and relatively undistorted). If you want to retain your hearing as you age, don't listen at full volume, hearing damage is cumulative over the years.

I've never had a car stereo that made the interior of a vehicle sound like a concert hall before. I think the shape of the Cybertruck's acoustical space is very complimentary to designing a great sounding stereo. Those of you with legacy pickups will know exactly what I'm talking about. They sound like you're sitting inside a small steel box.
Care to take a photo of your EQ settings and the type of music your listening to with these settings? If it’s Kenny G I won’t judge ? I would like to copy your setting for a starting point.
honestly I never turn it up
Much other then to show new people how amazing it is

Personally I haven't noticed a change in cab speaker volume. The external speakers are ridiculously quiet compared to other Teslas.
you can change the external speaker volume

I prefer a natural sound so I set EQs to achieve that. Because the stereo in the Cybertruck was designed for the interior of the Cybertruck, my settings are relatively flat, no big adjustments, I might add a small amount to the last 2 bass settings for my prefences, and maybe a hair of the second to last treble setting. This will vary from person to person because we all have some hearing loss at various frequencies. Audio engineers at Tesla designed it to be pretty balanced so you only need to adjust for personal preferences or if you have people or gear in the car that change the acoustic sound stage.

But here's the rub: Audio recording engineers can be all over the board when it comes to mixing and equalizing the music. So different recordings can require different settings, if you want to get picky. In the end, it's personal preference.

The same issue (different styles of recording engineers) makes the digital enhancement setting sound better in different positions. Some recordings can't handle any digital enhancement, others sound best with the setting on High. I tend to just leave it in the middle.

The front to back balance is where I find the biggest gains (not counting the difference in recording bit rate), I can't remember if mine is a little foreword or a little aft, but it will change with the number of passengers in the car (and a bit with your seat position). Just set it where you perceive the most depth and dimension.

But, yeah, you need high bit rate recordings with lossless compression to get the best sound. These can't be streamed; they CAN be downloaded via wifi at home for later playback.

when something is playing on outside speaker, use the volume slider on screen (not steering scroll wheel).
My volume slider doesn't move, but my steering scroll wheel DOES adjust the outside speaker. It always goes back down though.

I was in boombox with music playing. I see the volume slider on the bottom right changes to "boombox", when playing boombox music.
When I use the steering scroll then, it also changes the boombox volume and I see the volume level on the left of the display. I was trying to touch on that to move it as a slider, which didn't work.
Either way, it doesn't stay up, maybe after the door is opened and closed.
