Well it's been exactly 1 month since I configured my AWD CT white panels cyber wheels all terrain Northern Calif and nothing...no VIN nothing...I read how all these folks configured then got VIN in two days then delivered a few days afterwards. Anyone else still waiting on VIN after ordering in August? How realistic is it that Sept I will even get a VIN? When I ordered it was delivery. Aug-Sept thanks

Not calif , but I ordered configured 5/24 and didn’t get vin till 8/25, deliver set for 9/11. So I wouldn’t think much of it. For the ones that got theirs quick was likely share holders and or day 1 reservations or simply an oversupply in their area, lastly rejected orders and or recall parts delay. Just be patient, they build them in waves, a few of this style then move to the next style then back to the first.

Yes, I am also in the same boat as you steb1174 and others. Ordered 8/11 and still waiting on a VIN here in San Luis Obispo. Even going so far as to have someone call my cell phone and make sure its ringing... LOL

You're in CA. Elon hates CA. I know because I'm in CA too.
Why do you always push false anti-Elon, anti-Tesla narratives on this forum?

Yes, Elon is not a fan of all the red tape in California, but he has never shown an inclination to hold that against people who live in California. Or to be as petty as you are suggesting. Many of his best friends and some of Tesla's most productive employees live in California too. He has nothing against people simply because they live in California.

I have nothing against saying bad things about Tesla or Elon if they have substantive evidence behind them, but not if they are simply made up out of thin air for the purpose of trying to throw shade where it doesn't belong.

Why do you keep doing this here?

Well, we did the 'order' (the one where you pay the $1000 more, not the original one back in 2019) back on June 8th, 2024 and then nothing... Until yesterday!!

Yesterday I looked in the app and low and behold there's a VIN!!! Order was RN#11314xxxx

HOWEVER, we've yet to get an email or text from Tesla about WHEN it will be ready for us... And, of course, we're getting ready to leave town on vacation.... great...

Well, we'll pick it up when we get back I suppose... IF it's actually here that is!!

Sure wish we had a 'hard' date for pickup...

Tesla really tries to deliver within 2wks from VIN if at all possible, which is very iffy.
However, once you are told to set a delivery schedule within the Tesla app, they are sticklers about the 3 days timeframe, so hopefully you‘re back from vacation prior to the delivery notice.

Anyone with an Aug order get a vin yet? I placed my order on the 15th, wondering if I’ll be a part of the Q3 delivery push in SE Michigan.

With Q3 ending this month I'm pretty confident you will all take delivery in September.

We are on the cusp of non-FS 2025 Cybertruck production!!!

Let me understand this. You are unhappy because you have waited one month and no VIN? I waited 3 years before i got my truck.

I just want to clarify something I see repeatedly on this forum and others.

There seems to be a group consensus that just because you “reserved” a cybertruck 3-4 years ago when it was announced, does not mean that others that waited until later to also reserve or received their invitation from Tesla to “ORDER” their configuration of an FS CyberTruck, did not also wait since the original announcement to get theirs as well.

Meaning we all waited the same amount of time since the Cybertruck was announced.
The waiting from the actual Order timeframe is what really counts here. For that matter I’ve waited all my life for a vehicle like this, does not mean much other than I anticipated much longer than others but still am waiting the same length of time on average for my order to delivery as most everyone else.

I think what people really mean to say is their “reservation” - back before “orders” were being accepted, were considered orders not reservations and they had to wait longer.
Knowing now that they were not actual orders means that anyone ordering all wait about the same amount of time from order to delivery, depending on circumstances with financing, trade ins, cash only sales and geographical locations as well local availability of inventory based on those who accepted their deliveries or gave them up for the next guy.

Not “upset”…just eager. I’m blessed, it’s just a car…I’m alive, my family & kids are healthy, etc
