Depends in how good you are at parking. I'll probably keep parking myself but for some people that really suck at parking (especially parallel parking) this is hugeI get this feature is a step towards FSD, but isn't parking yourself just faster?
I got places to be and shit to do ya know?
Regardless of the ever-present naysayers, I think this is pretty cool. As an old Santa, I’m keenly aware that I may not be as sharp or speedy as I once was, so I welcome any additional bells, whistles, or warnings to help keep both Blitzen and me between the white lines. This is all good news, and I’m eager to add it to our arsenal of driving safety tools.Auto Park now available for early access program members ?

Glad it's out at least, indicating FSD not too far off likely. Kinda surprised it hesitates quite a bit at first moving forward to get into a start position, then in its reversing really goes back and for more than expected to adjust - very real-time adjustments I guess as cameras pick up more.

Just my two cents, but I find the simple chime that sounds when the traffic light turns green to be a major technological advancement. It’s a real game-changer for me as a driver. My wife calls it the “Old Man Alarm,” since I’m usually sitting at the light, talking, looking around, or fiddling with the audio, and she constantly has to say, “The light’s green!” Now, Blitzen gives me that gentle nudge, and off we go.
Simple pleasures for a simple life—it’s all good.
