Patience pays off!

As a day 1 reservation holder, I waited and waited and then finally took delivery of my New (not a demo) 2024 Cybertruck AWD, Tactical Grey Interior, FSD, and Cyber Wheels for……… $66,140

AWD ($79,990 ) + Cyber Wheels ($3,500) = 83,490 starting price and then took advantage of the following stacked incentives and promotions:
- inventory ($8,350) - loyalty ($1,000) - biz EV credit ($7,500) - referral cash ($500) - FSD transfer promo

As an existing owner of a 2017 Model S and 2018 Model 3, this is by far the most innovative, techie and fun vehicle I’ve ever has the pleasure to drive (and be driven by!)

Great opportunity and deal, congratulation. ?

They found some ingress wind on it and said that’s why I had increased noise.

Tailgate was a mess, I noted it on delivery. Cap was very loose and so was back stainless steel panel. They eventually fixed both and it’s great now.
If I'm not mistaken the inventory discount is for an "older" model. A lot of the brand new 2025 models coming off the line are with a totally different build quality. There's a few YT videos showing the distinct differences and improvements.

I disagree. My build was 11/24. I see guys complaining about 2025 build issues and some 2024 with none, it’s just all over the place, hit and miss. It’s not like 1/2025 hit and everything was perfect. One thing to note is that 2025 roof attachments are missing. Can’t put crossbars on them for example. One reasons 24s could arguably be better for some.

You are correct in that not everything was a jump to a new build, but there are documented--and undocumented--changes that Tesla has made in the last couple months. The roof attachments were not left off the 2025 build. They are just buried under the paneling. That was a deliberate move and you have to upgrade the panels to get access. As far as quality, there is 100% change in paneling attachments in the newer 2025 models. Reid just posted a video showing pretty specific quality improvements. In my own experience I've compared a brand new 2025 to my 2024 FS and the panel alignment is better and the inside ride is slightly less 'bumpy' with the same cyberwheels.

There was a gentleman in facebook group that just took delivery of a new 2025 and had misaligned panels. There is some luck to it, I agree surely though the more they build the better they get at it, but it’s not like buying a 2025 is guaranteeing anything. IMO an inventory discount is WELL worth it, especially if you want the roof panels, without spending even more $$$. It’s too bad they don’t show the build month in the actually inventory.

I'm curious if the Cybertruck line will be receiving line upgrades during the 4th of July shutdown week.

Tesla makes improvements and you don’t even know.

For example, my 22 plaid when comparing to new builds, uses new type of gaskets (different plastic blends), upgraded yoke and horn placement etc. this is definitely going on with cybertruck too. It’s just hard to measure unless you had an issue.

They have already switched the texture on the side view mirrors for example. Why this is better, I’m not sure. The good news is that I’ve learned, if I have an issue and complain, they bring me the new part with no questions asked.
