Congratulations to you. I’ve felt taken advantage of by every Tesla transaction. It’s good to know it possible to get a better deal. Your’ll be driving essentially the same vehicle I have for literally half the money I spent. In addition you likely skip all the bugs and recalls still outstanding on my truck, front and rear inverters, battery cable, wiper motor, cant rails, throttle pedal, etc…. You even have the hub caps that I’m still waiting for. But, look out for the PHANTOM WIPER.

Well, not quite…it’s in the service center right now for like the 4th time. Had to replace windshield And tailgate. Then the broke the tailgate cover, then they broke the top appliqué next to the canrail. So that part has sucked….

Still glad I waited pricing wise. I like titles, not loans and I didn’t get the coolness of driving it around for a year after it came out, despite telling everyone I was going to have this truck. LoL, but hey - we all thought it was 50-60k Originally. Oh well. Good news is, despite the hardships, I get happy ever time I see it in my garage or parked at work and even more excited to drive it (or be driven!).

Good to hear you're still in a positive frame of mind.

The vehicle is great but the service centers can sometimes leave something to be desired. What you're encountering seems to me to be a combo of lack of knowledge on how to work on the Cybertruck and a lack of QA'ing the tech's work before releasing the vehicle back to the customer. They both are annoying but the former is understandable and the latter is unexcusable IMO. However, on the positive side, once you get them rectified, you should rarely need to go back to the service center!

Despite owning Tesla's since 2017 (still have my 17 S and 18 3) I've only been the the service center a couple of times and mobile service a couple of times. Been at least 2.5 years since any service of any type. I always had A++ experiences. Seems like service sure has slide lately though. At least at my Indy service center 15mn from me. There's a new one in greenwood, IN, about 45mn away I'd be tempted to try there next time.

When I took delivery of mine, the service advisor told me almost all purchases / loans he’s seen on the CT were $1,000+ monthly payments. He said a lot of people put the minimum down payment to qualify for the loan. Crazy, IMO (unless it’s a business purchase).

Why did you need to replace the windshield and tailgate right after getting it?

They found some ingress wind on it and said that’s why I had increased noise.

Tailgate was a mess, I noted it on delivery. Cap was very loose and so was back stainless steel panel. They eventually fixed both and it’s great now.
