Hey, has anyone had the experience where their b pillar camera is extremely hot to the touch? I had leaned up on it as I was getting out of the truck and nearly burnt my arm. I went and got my laser thermometer to see the temperature differences and as you can see in the pictures it was 77 degrees and only a few inches away at the center of the camera eye it rose to 122° i should probably advise Tesla also.

It's heated to drive off snow/ice/ and internal moisture condensation during cool wet periods.

122° Fahrenheit? If so, normal temps for the heating element.

If Celcius, definitely submit a ticket lol.

In the mid 70s, not too cold. But I'll check if I turned it on by mistake, Thanks!

Hey. I just took delivery of my Cybertruck and I noticed the exact same thing. I have a service appointment scheduled for next week, but I was wondering if you ever resolved the issue. This is literally the only thread on the internet that I can find with this issue.

Hey, nothing new to report. Haven't noticed it again since but it's also been warmer so maybe it hasn't activated.

I have a service call in couple weeks for some other stuff and was going to ask about it. Hopefully they can provide some insight.

145F in a garage that was 75F............. hot enough to hurt if leaning up
Over 140 which can cause 1st degree burns

Anyone had Tesla do anything about this or is this "within spec"

I can't imagine the temp this would be in a hot parking lot on a 90-100F day
