There have already been 2 CT fires that I am aware of. Additional armor could have prevented them. Tesla added protection to the battery when an object could pierce the bottom of the Model S.

Not to mention you cannot escape from the CT if the doors cannot open because the windows are shatterproof.

Disclaimer: I understand no vehicle is fire proof.

If this was a CT, that person would be BBQ. Imagine burning alive with your kids behind you, I think about it sometimes. I will take some extra armor for 0.1 less miles per kWh any day.
Maybe the one that hit the fire hydrant could have been prevented, but the first one was catastrophic. No amount of underprotection would have prevented that.

Add it to the list of things that should have been included with the Foundation series package.
I guess Telsa owes you forever whenever any single improvement comes out simply because you were an early adopter. The entitlement coming from foundation series owners is simply astounding.
